Can’t win um all. If we did it would be boring. Wouldn’t mind the winning lotto numbers for tonight though :emoticon-0105-wink:

Both my daughters were on that one, thought he had got it. They are learning the ups and downs of racing first hand

    hi fellas! hows things??

    galway,4 45

this looks fiercely competitive, but one horse i like a lot is the mare MERIE DEVIE.has got a lot of weight on here, but shes very classy, and proved her well-being with a good win last time out.so,with a bit of luck today, she can run a big race..e w player..

Great afternoon. Gifted Master delivered 25 pts profit, purple Rock 1.4 pts, then Low Sun topped it off with another 12.5 pts. Take away 6 points for the unplaced and that's +32.9.

Also had a great win double, place treble and 3 place doubles with my small stakes multiples, but not counting those in my totals.

It looked like something went amiss with Eirene. There was a lot of scrimmaging in the first fifty yards and I wonder if it got struck into or clipped someone’s heels. By halfway he had moved over from the middle draw to the stands’ rail and was virtually last. Then the horse threw its head in the air and it did look like he eased it off and pulled it up.

Well done those that had the winner...

In that race just finished at Galway Suinda from the Mullins yard should go in the notebook. The ATR commentator said it was the jockey's first ride over hurdles and it showed. Spent most of the last half mile perched on the horse's neck. Next time out with Walsh, Townend or either of the 3 Mullins jocks will be a different story for sure.

Very enjoyable visit to Doncaster racecourse today. 22 quid entrance each for the wife and I but our 3 kids got in for free. A big crowd and great atmosphere without being too crowded - easy to get drinks and food, no toilet queues. Prices reasonable for a racecourse (4.80 for a pint of Budvar which was lovely, just the thing for a hot day in Yorkshire). I bagged the first 2 winners but went downhill thereafter. We developed the unhappy knack of backing Atzeni when he finished second and only my wife made a small profit thanks to a fiver place-bet on the billy goat.

Back at my mums now looking forward to a healthy portion of fish pie. Not eaten anything since my 2 duck eggs for breakfast. Loving the fresh Yorkshire air :)

Never been to 'Doncaster' however have spent the odd day at York during The Ebor meeting. My Mum loved it because we used to stay in Scarborough where she used to go on holiday with the auld chancer who doubled as my Dad. Many great nights spent at the Catholic Club, the Rangers Club or the Ex-Servicemens Club playing bingo and suffering c**p singers and comedians.

    BC Classic - Diversify 14/1

With Justify retired, the classic is looking wide open this year and this price stands out to me. Runs tonight in the Whitney giving 7 pounds to Mind Your Biscuits and 3 to Backyard Heaven. Has been progressing quietly all the time without much hype and won a G1 at 10f last season, looks to be peaking as a 5yo now and if hes impressive tonight at these weights I cant see the 14/1 lasting.
