The BBC wasn't any slower on Windrush than any other mainstream media, Strolls. A senior minister goes and it gets put right. Compare that with Corbyn. He simply denies there's a problem and won't discuss it until he's forced to. In fact, there's an article in the Guardian today where he blames Jewish leaders for overreacting! You must see that were there is clear racism, and a party leader refuses to address it, the pressure simply grows. It doesn't just fade and go away.

On reflection I would like to have the opportunity to vote for a party that is prepared to discuss not just immigration, terrorism, trade tariffs, nationalism/sovereignty etc but climate change, technological disruption, AI and bioengineering etc. In a positive, what opportunities are possible kind of way. Fat chance.

Yuval Noah Harari has a new book coming out, 21 Lessons for the 21st Century (a really ****, trite title) which promises to add some thought provoking depth on this discourse. He points out that we have a global ecology, global economy and global science, but largely only national politics, and virtually no global regulation.

A lot of interesting posts and fab comments.
I guess I have voted Tory on policy and yes I do know my local MP, in fact, Mr's Ellers is a family friend.
It got me thinking...would you vote Tory (let's say you hated them and would never vote for them) if they decided to be a remain party?
I think many of us are P'd with politicians and their lies. I don't ever remember it being as bad as this (on all sides). Maybe we should go Scandinavian and have another coalition?
With reference to bobs comment. Corbyn has met with terrorists (remember the Brighton bombing)? Anyway, he is in enough trouble over his stance with the Jewish community. I noticed once again today he never took any responsibility and just said it exists in the labour party. If they dig they will find Corbyn.

Not really, they focus on climate and in a turn the clock back kind of way, they aren’t really about opportunities, and most of their programmes are cut and paste from others plus recycling.

Trouble is, they're nearly as left wing as Corbyn.

Sorry DT but now football season is back I won't have time for Brexit stuff. We had a vote and the majority said out. you can show all these bit's of information but it won't make a difference. We are leaving the EU, as you said "it won't be our concern". My concern now is QPR. :emoticon-0148-yes:

What an intelligent response. Par for the course when you are presented with facts which don't agree with the standard position adopted by you and your supporters on the Brexit issue. Is any one who says that any of those who voted for Brexit have racist views, wrong or are we simply not allowed to say that without you. and others, immediately over-generalising the point that has been made by accusing us all of making sweeping contemptuous statements that anyone who voted for Brexit must be racist. Some of them are, some of them are not.

I assume you don't care one way or the other but please address what I actually said rather than your cheap put-down at the end. You and I are both expressing views on a forum and I have the right to express them as much as you whether you like it or not.

Of course you have the right to express your opinions.....as of course I have the right to ignore your opinions and the vast majority of your posts....I very rarely comment (if at all) on your posts as it was quite obvious we didn’t like or agree with each other...oh well, that’s life....I’m sure we’ll both get by.....I just find it strange that you feel you need to troll my posts to other individuals in what’s becoming a regular basis.

I once again stick to what I said to Stroller.....I think he generalised in his original post.....and whatever you feel ain’t gonna change the way I feel.
    Have a good day.

I don't think I suffer from either 11 or 16 but I can't say the same for the other 18 (not always and not all at the same time though).

We all suffer from most of them all of the time Matt and they are incredibly difficult to think yourself out of. Indeed if you did you would probably never make a decision or have an opinion.

We love to think we make rational, evidence based choices when in reality bias and emotion are the key drivers.
