My sense is that 'Elpistoleros magic feet' is displaying all the signs of recovering Manc-hating alcoholic.... Just one misplaced yernited WUM and he'll be off the rails in no time. Mark my words.... ;o)

He should collect evidence before making such accusations. I'm rather upset at being called someone I've never heard of, its a bit unfair as I'm only new to this forum.

I agree EMF. Mind you the odd minor outburst wouldn't go amiss if he ever comes back from his sojourn

Don't start that again. I thought I'd put that all behind me...

I think it's quite amusing to witness KPR trying to be moderate in his views. Having said that, I actually wish he'd go back to his old ways, as there were usually a lot of knowledge and insights alongside the obligatory anti-Manure bile.

Come on, KPR, 'fess up and re-launch yourself!

I thought that whole thread was rather amusing and passed a good few boring hours at work. Was in originally on the banter thread?

    As I said before...

I'm KPR and so is my wife!

Not sure why KPR has such a rep on here- the few post of his (past and present incarnation) seem pretty moderate to me. I take it he is on good behaviour at the moment.

'good behavior?' <laugh> good behavior doesn't even begin to cover it...

Oh, and btw, I'm the sauce for GKRK. My post 'covers' it all...

    I'll get my coat.

I don't understand why they do that. Take Bojan Krkic for example. Traditional Serbian name, yet you get commentators prounouncing it Bo-han. Just because thats where he grew up it doesn't change your name and its roots. Coates is not an Uruguayan surname and as such is not subject to Uruguayan/Spanish pronunciation. His fathers name is Peter and as such he is simply returning to the place of origin of his last name. In this case, English last name and roots = English pronunciation.

If however his roots were English yet his name was (somehow) Cortez, we would have to pronounce it the way they say it in Uruguay, considering it is an Uruguayan name, subject to their customs.
