I feel like this goal will be shown across a lot of acedmys for young players with the whole ‘don’t ever give up, you can go from Zero to Hero in seconds.

Ha ha well that’s a refreshing way to start a season!!! Sluggish start but can’t fault the lads in the end in a tricky first game

Nervous first half, but what a second half.
Great change in tactics and subs from Jack Ross. We absolutely dominated the second half.

Well done to the team and the manager <applause><applause><applause>

Edit....and the fans of course! What an atmosphere! :emoticon-0148-yes:<applause><applause>

Forgot to mention another Coleman feck up. Why did he overlook Gooch? He would and could have beem a big player for us last season

Just the start we needed. We grew into the game. Nice to have a steady goalkeeper again. Two big lads look a bit stiff so that is a concern. Maybe in this league we can get away with it. Don’t think it will be long before we see Baldwin. Mumba looks a hell of a prospect. Overall taking everything into account with the Summer we have had. Great result so let’s move on to the next game. Hopefully a couple more in through door as well. Well done Jack Ross!

2 things we need to change for next game is start Oviedo at LB and play 2 strikers. Im slightly disheartened by O'Niel. I expected better but still early days

Keeper was immaculate bar couple of nervy bits of distribution.

Credit Ross for a big change at half time that worked superbly. Oviedo is so far above this level be good if he stays despite the salary issue.

Only first game i know, but a good start for your lads and no better way to insert your expected dominance on the league by winning against one of the better L1 teams.

I really thought this could be a potential banana skin for you, but with home advantage and 30k behind you, it was job done.

Great point about the goalie! We'd still be up if we'd signed him last season, the amount of points the past 2 cost us!

Right on the mark about Loovens and Ozturk as well. They're terrifingly slow!

But our attack is going to bring us a lot of goals hopefully this season. Hope Sinclair isn't injured at the end there.

DS, Ross, 1 more striker and winger please!

Enjoyed my visit to the Stadium of Light today, if not the 96th min kick in the bollox. Nice touch with the statue of the iconic Bob Stokoe outside.

Your team is clearly a work in progress...you got better as the game went on, wasn’t impressed with either of your centre halves who look slow.

See you back at the Valley later in the season chaps :emoticon-0148-yes:

If its the passes I'm thinking of, at least they were fast counter-attacking passes which were positives that didnt quite work out. Good first game for him though definitely mate!

Aye, hence not holding against him mate. We grew into the game and if Wyke and McGeough are the key men beating a championship rival without them bodes well.

Liked the look of Sinclair, busy, strong, put himself about. Why did he go off any news?

Clash of heads early after he came on and had to go off - think he was stitched as he went straight down the tunnel before he came back on. Sure he’ll be fine - had their centre halfs very worried - great comeback and as many have said, we grew into the game and had a much better 2nd half. Take that for first game.

Well happy. Only grumble is the two CB's struggled. Both have slow turning circles. Must not be played together if possible. But buzzing. Hard working team who were simply better.
