I'm on holiday at the moment @ValleyGraduate12 can you pop round and check on the house and not with a crowbar? So it's quite posh, nice hotel, quiet and good restaurants in the local area, loving life. To liven things up we took the kids to a less posh part of town. So dodgy shops selling copy stuff, Welsh bar, Irish bar, Hoops Bar (Celtic Place) and all sorts of ****ing terrible nonsense. So we got out alive and I'm wondering am I a snobby **** who should put up with Amstel for a Euro in a dive even though I may have to fight to win my freedom back from Bob the Armenian Irish Bar owner or should I just stick to choosing my lobster from the tank?
How many times have you done that thing where you walk down some ****ty road past some crap buildings and make out as though it's really interesting just coz you abroad?
I'm on holiday too. 3 week rugby tour of Australia. Just arrived in Hong Kong for 48 hours before flying home.
Not going away this year, too much on. Got some time off in September though, might have a long weekend in Taffland, any recommendations? Looking for some wild coastline maybe. No magic mushroom festivals, did all that in the 70’s.
Also currently away. Sat having a cup of tea with the sun beating down on my back and the Atlantic surf crashing 50m away with the cicadas chirping away. Might go in for a dip in a bit.
I do like a decent scummy bar every now and again, some cracking people watching to be had when they’re ****ing steaming.
I like going to those places too. Though I tend to avoid tourist and go where the locals drink and eat. When I was away in Lo Pagan in April found this awesome Spanish bar and every pint I ordered he gave me a plate of tapas for free. Was only €1:50 a pint too.
Where you at Luv? I spent a great week in Northumberland. I ****in love it around there. Bamburgh and the Holy Island. Some great walks and views
