Morning all, I'm not keen on Pennington, and our interest had me scratching my head. Only thing I can think of was a particular game last season where Pennington played really well, either as a RB or RCB. That's all the detail I can remember apart from one thing - prolly the most relevant thing - that he made some great attacking runs that had the opposition all over the place, as it was clearly unexpected & unplanned for. Actually, as I type, I'm convincing myself that he played RCB, 'cos I remember being scared shiitless by the gaps he was leaving behind him. I believe it may be this that caught Bielsa's eye, as with him, it's not a weakness, but a desired capability. Still not keen, but you have to trust Bielsa. You can't expect him to get everything right, but I'm guessing he'll get the vast majority right. This one might just stretch him a wee bit, though.

The good thing as well is that you can loan people with an option to make it a permanent deal at the next transfer window until the end of the month. So in reality the transfer window doesn't actually close until 31st August so with a hard start he should get some idea of what we're up against by the time that actually closes.
Morning dbc, how you been pal? Out of ALL the players last season Pennington was the most disappointing. I expected a lot more from him.
