The fact that he has done nothing says a lot more about promotion ambitions tan any old guff from the manager. The manager was told if there was no takeover, he'd get the job on a permanent basis before the season started. So why has neither happened. Not as infectious as some folks, apparently. I think he is doing a good job holding it together ...you only had to be at the Valley Ticket Office this week to see what a shell the club now is.
He keeps on saying we need new players but only if they are better than what we have got. That is all well and good Lee but better players cost money and we haven't got any. We can't go into a season with a bunch of kids. Without injuries we have a decent team. With everyone fit our starting line up is reasonably strong.. Phillips Solly, Bauer, Pearce, Page Fosu, Forster- Caskey, Pratley, Aribo Taylor, Vetokele. But five of those players could be out on Saturday, to be replaced by kids and Ajose who we are actively looking to sell.
