Some nice bowling from England today, India struggling on 100/5. When was the last time England took 5 wickets and Anderson and Broad didn’t take any of them?
Brilliant from Stokes after lunch, but Anderson has done his bit, completely tying down Kohli at the other end.
Maybe 287 wasn't such a bad score after all…….. If it wasn't for Kohli India would be in deep trouble, he's almost single handily kept them in this game...….Lead down to 50 runs with 1 wicket left....
274 all out and Kohli scores 149 of them, those 2 chances that were put down cost an awful lot of runs...….. A nicely balanced test match, England need to bat deep into the 4th day to put pressure on India to bat out for a draw.....
England are a nearly test team. They have talented players, but always end up a bit short. They should be completely in control of this test, but dropped catches, allowing the odious but brilliant Kohli to get a ton and now losing Cook at the death means India will almost certainly win this test and set the tone for the series.
How can you say India will certainly win it, crazy statement ok cooks gone but an awful lot of batting still to come yet & hopefully come good,
We're 5th best test nation and India are No1. As I said, I don't think we're at their level. Not yet anyway.
Don't be daft. India might still win, but England are favourites. A superb innings by Kohli today, shame about Cook.
Daft? How on earth do you make England favourites? The game is virtually dead even and India are much the better side. I'd like nothing more than to see England get 300 ahead, which would then make them favourites, but I think it's highly unlikely. Hope they prove me wrong.
I make England favourites because India have to bat last. I'm not saying we are definitely going to win, just that it is slightly in our favour. If you reckon 'India will almost certainly win this test', what odds would you lay against England?
We have some good, and very destructive batsmen. Wouldn’t it be nice if three of them could get it right in the same innings? Just seen that Anderson went for less than 2 an over off 22 overs yesterday, about twice as economical as any other England bowler. We really need to clone him before it’s too late.
