It looks like we're going to try and get Danns on a free in the summer. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/hull_city/9386504.stm
do you think it is a bit premeture letting everyone know that we are going after him, seems to me we have maybe spoken a little too early, but we shall see,as time rolls bye.
I didn't know Danns was 28, I thought he was more like 23! Should be a good acquisition though if we do get him. I suppose there's no harm in talking about getting him in the summer if he's going to be a free agent anyway. If other teams come in for him and he goes elsewhere, then he obviously doesn't want to join the Tigers revolution. We may be in the Premier League by then after winning the play-offs and he may jump at the chance of joining us then.
Maybe we know we've got him already, we can talk to the player directly within the last six moths of his contract and we've not been discussing our targets at all recently.
I might be shorter in the Premier League, but it's six months in the Championship, that how Preston were able to approach Ash directly.
By the sounds of the article it seems that AP has been directly asked about Danns and Greening, and has responded saying basically we want Danns and so will others, and would of liked Greening. Neither hardly news, but then thats the standard of modern journolism. If we have had talks with Danns or can manage to talk to him and sign him then he would be a good addition.
hopefully a pre-contract arrangement will be done soon, looks like a good player, tonnes of energy aswell,
Could use an experienced old head in the centre of the park in on loan. Assuming we can have any more loans ?...
and recall Jimmy to play alongsie him. Ashbee will always be a City legend, but I'm kind of glad they've both left.
I just checked the Preston board from immediately after their game against Barnsley and was doesn't seem to have impressed, apparently he's dirty and every pass went to an opposition player. The most flattering comment I could find was 'he had a bit of a stinker'.
