So you are taking TC's top end valuations as gospel but knocking out bottom book quotes on sales. Bought club for £40 mill. sold 10% for £10 mill. So club now worth £100mill of which Rad owns £90 mill plus the £10 mill he got from the yanks. So that by your workings is a cool £75mill that Rad is sitting on and that's leaving aside the operating profit that comes in over the year.
Phil Hay does not believe that Leeds will stump up the money needed to get Woods, but he was careful to say that it wouldn't happen. Strong links for us taking Citeh youngster Jason Denayer on a season long loan -again he is absolutely top notch if we could capture him.
Not sure where you got the list from Matt, but I think it might be wrong re. Balboa. I understood that it was a permanent move.
There has been no operating profit,Rad said his total investment in buying ground, paying debt and buying club was about £80 million or £8 million for 10%,he sold 10% for £10 million with a £2 million profit, big deal.I also included the Byram sale, which was previous season so that's just the £17 million spent by rad on players and 17pence invested by a fan gobbing off,now shhhhhhhh.
Adrián Balboa (on loan to CF Badalona until 31 May 2019) Must admit the wording used by the journo's is a bit wooley...
You using the same financial skills as those you used to argue for brexit. Clever accounting schemes and tax avoiding smoke and mirrors. The club continues to be a rich mans cash cow.
I can't find the original article I read, but this one suggests one thing in the headline then, as you say, gets a bit wooly ... https://thisisfutbol.com/2018/07/blogs/championship/adrian-balboa-leaves-leeds-for-cf-badalona/
Unfortunately there are so many blogs that need to be taken with a pinch of salt. I was just speaking to one on twitter 'Rob of Leeds' - an absolute twat...
I have to say that I'm enjoying reading the output from our amateur forensic accountants. The results remind me of the first drawing my eldest did with his crayons. - he knew what he was trying to do, but didn't have the skills. Now if you're just looking for an argument for the sake of it, please carry on amusing us. If you really want to understand what's going on in our financial world, consult the forensic accountancy that is regularly published about it. Here is one example .... https://www.mikethornton.xyz/lufc-cash-investment/ This chap knows what he's talking about, and indeed 'does the maths', as requested earlier - only this guy grasps the complexity of the subject. Have fun, kiddies
Those of you that weren't happy with us spending 7m on Bamford, Crystal Palace have bid 24m for Danny Ings
You describe him quite perfectly. He's deleted my comments to his 'articles' on more than one occasion. Not for abuse (though tempting), but for fact that disproves his ramblings. He really doesn't like being wrong. (I think one of my deleted comments was a link to a club statement proving he was talking pish).
Thornton writes puff pieces that use lots of words to say not very much. I can see why some enjoy his output.
