Good Morning Everyone Three days and counting to kick off.... Did you know that since SGT Wiko's reign in 1988, only Wilkinson, OLeary, Venables, Blackwell, Wise, McDermott and Christiansen have won their first match in charge of Leeds. A radio 5 live journo has claimed this morning that a fee between Brentford and Leeds has been agreed for Ryan Woods. We will have to wait and see, but a fee of 6m is being banded about! A very good player, though lacking in the height department. Leeds have parted company with Luke Murphy. The 28yo has agreed with the club to terminate his contract. There was a rumour floating about the Joey Barton's Fleetwood Town was take De Bock on loan. This looks unlikely as during a recent interview Barton said 'I've never heard of De Bock"!
NOT606ers, you only have until 6pm today to post an entry on the latest Caption competition - then it is judged... https://www.not606.com/threads/caption-competition-236.364740/ Do I have a volunteer from this forum to judge the MOTers entries?
I worked my way back into an office rather than installing/de installing. Got a lovely air conditioning and plenty of tea!
Has their mod twigged your blatent attempt to cherry pick the only two decent posters from their board. Only an estate agent would have come up with a plan so devious. Don't worry I wont tell anyone.
Good Moring Matt from a dull Bardsey Went with my 4 year old Grand child to Lotherton Hall if you haven't been its well worth a visit just to see the bird sanctuary and the kiddies playground is amazing I have never seen so many push chairs in my life plus it was Yorkshire day and it was full of stalls I will definitely go again and the entrance fee for 3 adults and child was £15! Well done to Leeds City Council who own it Great news Matt about Ryan Woods when you think what we got for Viera he will make a great signing Matt you missed out some important news Spurs have offered Bournemouth £30m for Cook how much will we receive £6mand then there is still bounty to be had over the sales of Danny Rose still to come so all in all we could be looking at £11m Phil Hay who is a very honest writer says we will sign a CB this week so that's my 5 completed no doubt that will not be enough for some but it will be a much stronger squad than last season Finally we still need to ofload 3 players Ekuban OKane and Anita
Morning all, if we do get Woods then it shows we probably were after a new striker in the mould of Bamford AND Vydra, not just one or the other. Are we in for a few surprise exclusions, loans out or sales in January? I don’t see where we are going to fit all these midfield players into a regular starting 11 but a pleasant problem to have although sometimes too much choice can backfire. Getting to be quite a positive buzz about the season ahead.
I'm sure i saw a list of players in/out. Does anyone have it at hand? I feel like we have seen quite a few players leave. Just wondering if there is a list?
Rad will still have received more in transfer income than he has spent since coming in to the club add that to the various other income and his clever accounting and his pockets continue to be lined. We wont know how he has leveraged the club till accounts are out next year but it's clear he has, But I would agree the players coming in are better than those that have departed this summer but short of signing you, me and wj they couldn't be worse..
I am sure he has paid out more than he has received Good luck to AR at least we have had our biggest signing for 17 years all you can spout about is that he is thieving from the fans utter garbage you sound like Corbyn when asked about Brexit .When you get up tomorrow say I will always look on the bright side of life .In a month you will notice your demeanor will change for the better Look at Scrooge in Christmas Carol he was a changed man try it you know it makes sense
Just do the maths. start with £18 million for Wood and the £7.7 million for Viera and the £10 million he sold a stake for to the 49ers. Others will say that the income will be paid on a staged basis and they are right. but so is the expenditure. I am perfectly happy, I just don't like fantasy economics. Rad is not a leeds fan he is a business man.
Just for you Exit Lonegren Felix Coyle Denton Antonsson Sacko Bouy Viera OConnor Murphy Cibricki Wilks Grot which leave 3 to go Anita Ekuban OKane IN Bamford Baker BLACKMAN HarrisonDouglasand possibilly Woods
Morning all. Lack of height didn't seem to be much of an hinderance to Bremner,Collins,Messi,or Maradona to name just a few.
But is it not good to have someone in charge who is reinvesting the money made whilst keeping us financially sound? Look what GFH nearly did to us, or Bates, we were lucky if we spent £1m in a season under him despite all the sales. He (Rads) is making logical moves forward, he has continually learned a lesson. Last season he brought the ground back and laid some solid foundations, his biggest mistake giving Orta full control over transfers but that’s just my opinion. This season he and Orta are actually working with Bielsa in securing good quality UK based players, if sell on clauses were not installed on players like Cook to generate us more income then we’d be saying he is a poor businessman. I’d rather have a non supporting Leeds owner reinvesting and making us look an attractive club than a poor supporter with nothing to invest, I dare say the Man City owners had never supported the team before the takeover. Rads has won me back over after starting to lose me, mainly for allowing Bielsa to have a say on the ins and outs, secondly for putting the cash back in and not going the all out loan route but buying quality in Bamford and Douglas. I still don’t believe Rads will be here in 5 years but when he has made us the attractive proposition that we are becoming I’ll be happy to see the next Man City type owners take charge
Matt do we know what % we will receive from Lewis Cook sale at £30m I would say 20% at least as it was Celino who negotiated this sale Mike
First we will wait and see how that was financed and more importantly where the liabilities lie. Second even if he bought it with his own cash as the then sole owner of LUFC the value of his saleable company LUFC Ltd (or whatever it is called) went up by more than the cost of buying the ground. This was evidenced by getting £10 million from the 49ers for a 10% stake in the company. In effect he made money by buying the ground, the income is deferred until he sells that's all.
