Ian is the same as me...has a lot of interests outside football....can be very difficult to find a suitable hook to introduce our fascinating facts to the football forum world. Mention of the Romans made me twitch as well, but Ian went full lecture. I wish I had his courage.

Yes, the Romans have been and gone.

 

Apart from outgoings, I can't see anything happening in the remaining days of this window. We may need to move onto the Renaissance, Architecture and Cathedrals of the World.

Don't mention Garibaldis....second only to fig rolls in my hate list. My mother bought a tin of broken mixed biscuits....which turned out to be all Garibaldis. She had to be creative to get them past the family....her nadir was heating them up and serving them with custard.

 

Beefy said a few weeks back that we were still after 3 players including 2 attacking players. It's all gone very quiet since then with barely a rumour to get excited about. I really think we need one more attacking player as minimum, whether that be another winger or striker.

The problem is that wanting ain't getting. We may well have been interested in several players but they then became unavailable for various reasons, including signing for someone else. It may very well be better to stick with what you have rather than sign someone several steps down on your list....we have made several mistakes and probably can't afford to make any more. Better to wait perhaps. Doesn't mean I wouldn't be delighted to see a striker come cantering around the corner, but I do accept that sometimes things just don't fall into place.

 

A lot of teams must be fretting on in and outgoings, many have seen less business than us too. Perhaps the calm before the storm/panic buy?!

 

22 goals in 29 Primeira Liga appearances is the sort of productivity we badly need!

 

I see Brighton have signed P Tau. So close to being China in their hands.
