They're having to pay him €180K a month at Monaco, so that might explain the fee, and perhaps adds to their fans negative opinion of him?

I don't know whether he's a bellend, but Monaco fans seem to complain at length that he's sulky and lazy, in addition to being useless, so probably.

Christ this one won't die will it. We should have completed this already if we were serious and at that price we should have been. This report sounds like Leicester but also notes he's injured in pre-season.

I think you should add towns and cities as well as writing to that list - the latter largely being limited to late Iron Age coins.

Actually the impact of the Roman invasion in 43AD is still open to much debate and is multi-faceted with some areas accepting Romanisation whereas others were less willing to embrace and a general lack of ability to identify people recorded in the historical record as "British." Most of the people celebrated in memorial stele , for example, came from elsewhere in the Empire. There was a road system prior to the Roman invasion but probably not metalled like the Roman roads. Recent debates centre around what has been preserved in the archaeological record and the extent to which material which has not been preserved represents a truer reflection of society. i.e. What remains may actually distort the true picture because timber houses will not survive or leave a significant trace in the ground. It is worth remembering that a significant element of what the Romans introduced did not survive Late Antiquity and there is evidence that towns were pretty much in decline from the 3rd Century onwards as a consequence of that century's crisis. There is also an hypothesis from coin evidence that the large villa complexes built in the SW England may have been projects started by immigrants who left Gaul which was less stable at the time due to incursions by people like the Burgundians. I find Roman history really interesting because so many things seem familiar whilst this is not strictly true once you delve deeper.

It is interesting that the Romans also appreciated sport and spectacles for which they built large stadia. There are also accounts of large scale fan violence in places like Pompeii. However, it is good to think that the English had a large role to play in introducing football to Italy and how this game has endured in Italian culture for over a century - still only a third of the duration through which Britannia was under some sort of Roman governance. (Albeit there were periods when the province was part of an alternative Gallic Empire not to mention the break-away province led by Carausius at the end of the 3rd Century which was akin to a pirate-led Brexit. Ultimately Carausius was murdered by his deputy Allectus who was subsequently overthrown in another Roman invasion which commenced with a little known battle being fought somewhere near Portchester. )

So we would replace a highly talented player who is supposedly a bit of a prima donna and not a team player with a player with minimal talent who is a bit of a prima donna and not a team player. KUTGW recruitment team.
