At last I can see a positive development with Harrison (Mr Tinned Peach for those with long memories of Monty Python) and Bamford coming in. Mr tinned Peach looked very nippy in the clip on Faceache. As others have said why the **** couldn't they get them in sooner.
For any fans who are negative about the signing of Bamford, not many bad vibes from the Boro' fans who seem to be in total despair "Good luck to the lad - crap decision by the club. I will have a tenner on him topping the championship scoring charts" "Insane, hope it is near the 10m mark, should have been closer to 15m really given his pedigree and age at this level" "Disgraceful decision. What the f*cking hell are we doing" "Sorry to see him go, but life goes on" "Nothing against him, but I can’t really wish him luck: too much like wishing Leeds luck" "Just a crazy decision. Negligent. But he's gone so on we go" "Really, really, really annoyed" "Will be interested to see what he says about why he left / was sold" "Another of the club's bad decisions. Quite a collection building up when compared to the good decisions" "Gibson would have been bankrupt years ago if he ran the rest of his business interests this way" "Thanks Paddy for your goals in the second half of last season" "Don't get it. One of our better players and well liked by the fans. Wonder who will replace him unless we just need the money?" "Madness !" "Very disappointing to sell someone who's more talented than Britt and Rudy, especially frustrating when there's no explanation" "Disappointing" "Very disappointed, I think he will score a hat full of goals for Leeds, we move on" "Good luck to Paddy, he's been great for us" "What's going on? Fabio and now Bamford and we've kept the dross" "Twenty four years old and oozes class. I'm struggling to see how and from where we will replace that for less than £10m" "He'll score against us" "Ive got to say that I am very disappointed and hoped this was all paper talk. He was our best striker last year and seemed to have his heart in the club" "Shocking decision. Shows a total lack of ambition on our part. Even selling a decent player to promotion rivals is bad, selling them your best player. Nuts" "Appalling. Really frustrated by our ineptitude" "Great! We've just got rid of one of our best players" "It's probably not a bad move for Bamford. At least he's going somewhere where he's presumably wanted"
We will see what happens before i am happy.calamity cooper fills me with dread.midfield is not much better yet.
So are we still being financially raped as Glory repeatedly states ? Bamford and Douglas won't have come cheap on the wages front but everyone seems to agree they are the quality signings we've been longing for. Personally with Vieira going out and plenty of others off the wage bill we should still be able to fund a couple of further quality additions. So I guess what I'm saying is Glory has a point about how much Radz is actually investing himself after his initial outlay. We as fans obviously want more but we don't have the big picture as to how much our current wage bill stands at and our ongoing financial commitments to player contracts etc.
I still dont see the last 12 months been more than cost neutral. Wood and Viera covered everything. If Saiz goes Rad is still in profit on running the club. Got say Harrison looks good and Bamford from the pr video might be better than I thought.
