Although we have tied up the signings of mertesacker park-chu young and santos i think we need a midfielder and an attacking one at that. If we sign benayoun then i would be satisfied but would still look for us to strengthen in january. But i would not want us to sign m'villa he is overpriced and he is a defensive midfielder that breaks the play up. What has happened to our interest in alex and malouda at chelsea, although they are both long shots i would be overjoyed were we to sign both players as i feel that we would have a competitive squad and could maybe add to it in january with a striker. Stranger things have happened and there are 12 hours to go gotta love deadline day.
An attacking/creative mid would be my choice along with a DM and CB with a striker in January. If we go for Malouda, Alex and Bennayoun I wouldn't be too dismayed either. Chelski can afford to let them go just as we need a few of ours to go too
Seems they are working on M'Vila. I agree that we need adequate cover in all of the areas you mentioned. Enquiries have apparently been made on both Fellainni and Arteta too. Wonder which combo members here would prefer. B52 could be on his way to the Potters but we need to shift quite a few more. Why we ever got some of them in the first place is a mystery. What's the betting the midfield announcement is going to make it a very long day today.....
