I read it off the other thread. if what you mean is they can take mourinho whining but losing to lfc is unacceptable and then lfc have bought loads why can't we and then look at how easy lfc start is. there's a lot of them being quite anxious about behind behind one club in the league and not liking getting beaten by one club. the only thing they mentioned on city was the points margin last year
I've got zero interest in utd so I don't watch them or read about them. If we're talking Mourinho the man/football manager then my view is he can't handle not being top dog. Pep coming to this league just about finished him off.
He's always ****ing moaning. The only thing I noticed was the apparent slip of the journo using the word "here" to describe the club. I suppose there's no reason why a writer can't also be a fan, but when the Beeb is meant to be an impartial, national news outlet it looks a little odd.
It's mainly the rampant contradictions in the guy's line of argument. He goes from this: 'Given United finished last season 19 points behind arch-rivals Manchester City - whose manager Pep Guardiola vies with Mourinho for the title of greatest manager of their generation - and have not done much to suggest the gap can be closed, [...]' To this: 'Of all the major clubs, Liverpool are the ones who appear to have significant forward momentum. Yet three of their four major signings - midfielders Naby Keita and Fabinho, and goalkeeper Alisson - have never played in the Premier League before. So, while it is easy to feel United are going backwards, it can be argued that if Mourinho gets more from the players he has already invested so much in, they won't be far away from the major prizes.' I've kept the sentence about us in because it's apparently and obviously our major new signings that will contribute to Utd moving forward, according to his argument. The only reason for that sentence, because it contributes nothing to the logic of what he is trying to say, although I'm not really sure what the hell that is, seems to be to have a sly dig at LFC.
Word was he was holding out for more offers before committing - none came - is there a reason for that?
Barca paid about £14m for him...( £17m with add ons). They want rid obviously. I think he's 2nd choice to Alba isn't he?
I don't know mate. They had Deulofeu from Barcelona didn't they and like Digne he's been all over the place. This is his fifth club at 25, maybe he can't settle anywhere. Another 'wait and see' I think. No doubt the blues will be saying he's world class and better than x, y and z.
I see thst Utd are losing the chief scout so much was made of. He is going to zenit as sporting director.
