Apparently Rafa wants to spend a whopping £8 million on the Ajax left-back who played all the games for an Argentina team considered the worst in their World Cup history...

Anybody envision us spending 60% of our budget on a back-up to Paul Dummett?

At £8m apparently we have baulked at this price for the Argentina Left Back.

    https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...ewcastle-united-make-enquiry-nicolas-14970273

I mean granted Argentina didn't have a great World Cup but £8m is a steal for this lad. I guess it is £2m more than Bryan so why are we bothering to enquire?

Just to mention that the mighty Fulham are about to drop £40+m on Mawson from Swansea and Mitrovic.

How...the...****...are we meant to compete with that?

We've spent £7m so far on Dubruvka, Schar and Ki of the £17m we've bought in from Merino, Mbemba and Sels sales. Possibly £16m when you take Muto (£9m) into account but when you consider he is replacing Mitrovic going out at £22m you have to laugh.

So £16m spent of a generated £39m... and a ****ing swapsies in Gayle for Rondon.

Anyone able to explain how that's being given every penny generated? **** your "installments" shout - its guaranteed income and even if its in installments PAY OUT IN INSTALLMENTS!

It's amazing isn't it. Fulham can spend whatever they like and still fly under the radar of FFP. We spend **** all and get noticed by HMRC.

    Where's da ****ing money Mike?

I can see Fulham falling foul of FFP.

That’s if anyone can be arsed enforcing it anymore.

I think Dummet will be cover for the centre half position now that Lejeune is injured
After all that is his original position
It's just he plays good at left back as well

Nicolás Alejandro Tagliafico (born 31 August 1992) is an Argentine footballer who plays as a left back for Dutch club Ajax. Because of his "lung-busting stamina, excellent technique and continuous enterprise", as well as his playing position and club, he has been compared to the Internazionale and Argentinaleft-sided player Javier Zanetti, formerly also of Banfield.[2]

    Sounds good to me.

To be honest I'd take Zanetti now... he's on a free right?

Worst in their World Cup history? They got out of their group, in 2002 they didn't do that, so how can this be worse?

Never heard of this guy, he sounds like a weird variety of pasta.

Yeah but you know how Argies are...

To be fair they were quite poor and were fortunate to get as far as they did.
