Is there a pool or a large mirror like surface near the stadium that would reflect that stadium swoosh anywhere?

I hope LastMinute.com sponsor the stadium in honour of our transfer policy.

    'Tottenham Hotspur ST/\DIUM'.

Excellent. Straight forward and to the point.

The hacks appear to be surprised at the name, what did they expect us to call it?

The 'Not Ponsing off the London Tax Payer Arena' of perhaps the 'Better and louder than the Sh!tehole Down the Road Stadium', or even the 'Looks nothing like a Fekking Birds Nest Bowl'? The Spurnabeu?

Come on hacks, get real. Good choice, it promote the name of THFC all around the world. Nice One.

I swear he didn't used to be like this. I think he must have had a major life trauma 2-3 years ago

Didn't the club ban selfie sticks a couple of years ago?

Now things are starting to make sense...

Interestingly, football.london have stated that the cost of building the stadium is way off the doom-laden 'guesstimates' of The Mail and Standard...

"The new ground, which is set to cost between £350m and £400m on its own amid the overall £850m-plus development, is set to officially open on September 15 with the Premier League match against Liverpool."

There's a number of construction experts and an accountant that post on SSC, who has audited football clubs for 10 years, and they've long agreed that the cost of the construction of the stadium is £500m at its absolute maximum and likely to be significantly less. The £750-800m was always to include the hotel, ticket office, housing and everything.

An interview with Donna Cullen suggests that the 'TottenHam Hotspur ST/\DIUM' name is free from sponsorship. I'm just not buying that. It may be a stop-gap but using what is a Nike trademark is not something that you'd do for no reason. There's going to be a whole lot of Nike stuff in that new shop [NFL as well as trainers, football boots and other non-Spurs branded stuff] and we've been selling Nike England shirts recently, which I don't recall previously. This is a lot more than your usual football shirt supplier/football club relationship.

Was at new WHL on saturday.

Even assuming that functionally it will be sufficiently
"test event" ready, again to me it looks miles away from the
entire stadium (facade etc) being fully completed by the
    Poool game.

It will be like the Return of the Jedi death star, "Now witness the power of this fully armed and operational battle station. Fire at will, commander."

The thing with all building work is the guts of the building do take a bloody long time, but exteriors go up pretty damn quick. The best example I can think of is The Shard (since I was looking at the site every day I was waiting for a Charing Cross train at London Bridge) because for over a year there was nothing but the concrete core facing the platform that was slowly creeping upwards, but when they started adding the actual floors of the building the facia filled in rapidly

To best explain it, here's photos from September 2010, November 2010 and January 2011 to demonstrate how quickly the facade was put in place

Bear in mind that the facade was being put in place while the Shard was still being built, as you can see the core extending in each photo, while the THS (nope, that won't catch on...) is mainly built and it's mainly fitting-out that needs to be done.

    Time will very soon tell.

Levy knows only too well that the haters have their "articles"
ready and waiting for any part of the stadium exterior/interior
that still looks like a building site come the Poool game.

Hairy's today blog is likening Tottenham on matchday to East Berlin, because we have a traffic plan in place. i.e. avoiding the fek up that is Wembley.

Local residents will have to have permits to enter and exit certain areas. Check points will be in place hence the East Berlin reference. Sound a good idea to me.

However, a park and ride just off the M25 would also be a good idea and Spurs could make even more money at 5 or 6 quid a pop.

I'm not, either. I think it's done already, but they're holding back on the announcement until everything's done.
"Nike Stadium delayed"? "Nike Lose NFL Game In Stadium Fiasco"? Pass.
Tick the boxes, dot the i's and cross the t's and then push the sponsor out massively on the first proper events.
