Match day threads will stay on topic this season. Its a fair compromise and is more attractive to potential newbies who may not follow the banter from an outside respective <ok>

So you are speaking for a group of people and not for yourself then.
How does that work? who are they? why can't they speak for themselves?

I would presume that most people posting here like this place the way it is.
You already have one forum that is footie and tedious horses racing threads only..
Why would you want another forum to be a carbon copy? Genuine question.
If posters are commenting about non match related topics on a match day thread then it gives an illustration as to how board members are feeling at that given time. Apathy, disillusionment or perhaps just world weary and in need of the comfort of fellow board members to brighten the day.

To limit the match day threads therefore takes away one of the main reasons why people post which is freedom of expression and the right to reply.

Just my opinion of course.

Very eloquently put!
But you should be worried, I 100% agree with your post.

All we're saying is Match day threads won't be going off topic this season. Showing emotion whether its joy or disillusionment is absolutely fine as long as its connected to the game.

There's plenty of banter going on, on the daily breakfast debates.

It should not limit freedom of expression as long as the comments are connected to Leeds Utd or the game in question...

Sorry Glory perhaps I was assuming it applied to more than myself & I'm not suggesting a change on not606. Believe me I enjoy a bit of banter on certain topics.
The other forum covers Football, Rugby, Horse Racing, Cricket, Television/Films, various Music threads plus five ongoing footy competitions throughout the season. I wouldn't say MOT is tedious, like this forum it has some top posters on board
