ribery might be coming to the PL chelsea are potential suiters and might have bid 34mil euros for him, think he would come?
ahh ok There have been some interesting developments on Chelsea's Yossi Benayoun's Twitter page, http://twitter.com/#!/YossiBenayoun15. The Israeli international confirmed last night that he would be flying back into London to talk to Chelsea and his potential suitors. Benayoun has just confirmed he is waiting for his connecting flight back to England. Where do you think he's heading guys - Arsenal, Tottenham or maybe Liverpool? Let us know your thought on our Twitter page, goal_intl. theres some gossip then
If Honda comes in, Arsenal take the lead in the Japanese market without doubt. They're a country of 127m people - so double the UK. If they can get a fair few new fans signing up for Arsenal Credit Cards (since that's where the money is made, not shirt sales any more) then they can really capitalise and establish the brand in that country on pre-season next year. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Honda is on his way. His commercial value in addition to his obvious playing ability, and free-kick taking would be fantastic. He's being used out of position at CSKA and isn't happy about it, so perhaps he wants to move. There's money available, and a player in his position is very much needed.
Honda is class, and Wenger said at the last World Cup that he likes him, so there could be some truth to the rumour.
Honda is the sort of guy who could go one of two ways. Sure it would be a gamble, but he could become a very quality player. Also he would open up the asian market more than any other footballer perhaps except Park at man utd.
Would surprise me if credit cards really took hold in japan! They never buy anything on credit and are a nation of conservative savers who I would imagine use debit not credit almost always
That certainly used to be the case. However, CC use is on the rise: http://whatjapanthinks.com/2008/04/10/credit-card-usage-in-japan-2/ That's from 2008. In addition, BIS (the Bank for International Settlements) in Switzerland reports that there are in excess of 1800 Credit Cards per thousand population in Japan. That data is from several years ago so it's likely there's more now.
Lille are a bit like us. If reports are true and they lose Hazard then their 2 best players will have left. Funny thing is that they both will have left for us, whom as you all know, the same thing happened with Fab and Nasri.
Mario Balotelli's profile has gone from the ManCity website - just checked and it's true. Apparently Spurs are going to snap him up for 14m. That would fit with Huddlestone's "Can't believe who just sneaked into the training ground" Tweet from earlier. Would be a big shock and a coup for Harry!!
