Think gayle is off to west brom as part of deal for rondon to Newcastle. Once again we've ****ed about till the last minute and will end up panick buying.
Positives Klich - outstanding, sees a pass always looking to move the ball forward, he is like a new class signing. Surely Bielsa won't start our other midfielders over Klich's wonderful vision & talent, at long last we have a player who actually controls the game. Has to start v Stoke Phillips - Very impressive at the back, one moment losing his man near the end, overall KP was excellent Roofe - worked tirelessly, took his goal very well. Still not clinical enough for me ! Pablo - grew into the game with the emergence of Klich controlling the play Ayling - we missed him last season Negatives Saiz - still choosing the wrong options, created nothing Alioski - fell over a few times, a complete waste of space Vieira - struggled 7 Peacock-Farrell 6 Berardi 9 Phillips 7 Cooper 7 Ayling 4 Vieira 4 Saiz 7 Hernandez 6 Dallas 4 Alioski 8 Roofe Subs 10 Klich MOTM 6 Baker 6 Roberts
Well son has just arrived home and is raving about klich says he is our best player by a mile. Baker got the thumbs up as well, maybe klich is going to save us the money we were going to blow on Vydra. Oh and he confirmed alioski is our worst player, something a few of us have known since we first saw him.
please log in to view this image Rod Christopher@rodchristopher9 Some of the abuse towards @LiamCooper__ on here is just shocking. Lad gives 100% for us every week. May not be our best, but Bielsa clearly thinks he can do a job in his plan & formations. Good managers can always improve players too. Why not try giving confidence instead? #lufc
Hopefully Klich comes good but he is going to be playing against totally different & physical opposition each game in the championship, (actually not convinced that preseason has been any proper preparation for the Stoke game) we got bullied last season and I'm not sure we've addressed that with recent signings. Not sure who will be in the three at the back but presume Pontus will come back in (I fear a drubbing if we continue to use KP).
That's the thing tho London my lad was saying klich is quite a big lad along with baker when he came on in the second half,so we do have the physicality just don't choose to use it. Also kalvin Phillips had a very good game today according to some of those who were there,
Why do you fear a drubbing if we continue to use KP? He really was quite brilliant today. He was my MOTM. I understand why 1964 gave that accolade to Klich, who was also excellent, but he was only on for 45 mins, so KP clinches it for me. What did he do wrong? He's been consistently great throughout pre season. I'm also not at all sure that Pontus will play against Stoke. I've got a feeling that Bielsa will let him ease into the team when an opportunity presents itself, mainly as he's playing catch-up with his fitness, understanding of the system, and of course, video homework EDIT: Thinking about it, the same may apply to Douglas, as he's not even had a pre season.
Happy to bow to your lad, he saw them up close and live (and I have to say everything he says about Alioski pretty much sums up my view when I've watched him all-be-it on Sky or a stream - if he was an opposition player we would be screaming abuse at the way he throws himself to the floor - just ****ing embarrassing for us as a Leeds fan). Need convincing on turning Phillips being turned into a CB. It's one thing looking good against a tippy-tappy Spanish team in a non-competitive match but completely different when he has to defend against balls being hoofed into our box to 6'+ lumps to get on the end of.
Okay, you were posting as I was probably typing. My fears in my previous post (and not saying I'm right by-the-way).
