He is deliberate, he knows exactly what he’s doing. Look back at his “accidents” over the past several years. Mistakes happen, but anyone who has driven a racing car at any standard knows what is going on.
Hamilton needs to thank Bottas for that win, Mercedes use team orders alot more then Ferrari do but the media ignore it when they use them.

Why did Bottas give the place back to Riccy? It was Bottas fault the collision no arguments there but Gastly was over 30 sec behind. So even if Bottas was given a penalty it would have only put him behind Riccy anyway. I can see the point of giving up the position to Riccy when there might not have been a penalty. Only thing I can think of is to try and plecate stewards on him crashing into Vettel. Stupid driving from Bottas.

To be fair, Bottas had been led to slaughter with those old tyres. Should have been brought in 15-20 laps before the end.
Surely both are racing incidents? Bot/Vet: Bottas is on dead tyres, you can see him powersliding out of T1 he just has no grip. Tried to go late on the brakes into T2, but Vettel should have left more space as I don't think he was fully in front. Haven't seen the onboard from Bottas yet. Bot/Ric: Bottas has damage, and tyres with no life, locks up and runs wide into Ricciardo. Ricciardo could have been smarter and gone on the inside, but that's irrelevant really. Bottas between a rock and a hard place trying to brake late in a damaged car on old tyres.

Did they not say the incident between VB and DR would be investigated after the race ? I think you are correct , he let him by in the hope it might make the stewards more lenient towards him .
