Cons: Fabinho not living up to his name, seems just to be making up numbers.
Another insipid Solanke performance. We shouldn't really be going into the season with an unreliable Sturridge and an uninspiring Solanke as Firmino backup

Pros: Comanche looks very promising.
Shaqiri, even ignoring his worldie was lively and wanted on the ball.
Ojo takes an ice-cold penalty

Fabinhio looks really unfit.

Solanke can't do what his brain says... shame.

 

I reckon if firmino gets injured we will be looking to put Salah at 9 and shaqiri on to replace him.

Solanke just doesn't fit at all in our front line. Sturridge can do the job but then your praying he stays fit.

We seem to have a better team this season and it is very likely we will top the mancs and challenge for the title.

Said this as soon as we were linked with Shaqiri. Makes the most sense atm

 

He was the furthest forward atlot of the time last year anyway, it makes more sense, than shoe horning solanke in there.

The lad doesn't seem to have progressed in 12 months at all. Still a big lad upfront and not much else.

 

Decent workout for both teams that, probably more competitive than most friendlies.
I have to say that once your option of "kick it to the fast lad" went away you looked much more threatening going forward and passed through us at will.

 

Thought it was w@nk. you barely tried to play a game as usual, Sanchez must have been bored ****less from chasing hoofs all game.

It was never going to be a classic mate but it gave both teams a much (on the evidence displayed) needed workout.

 

Are you expecting the rest of your team back for any of the friendlies, I didn't think you'd be missing so many

 

Nope, and probably will be 2 or 3 missing from the first 2 games of the league.

 

Didn't occur to me how disruptive to the start of the season the WC would be. The league's not going to be won our lost in the first two weeks but it could give a fair advantage to whoever handles is best

Then has a dig at martial for being with his new born instead of with the team.
