Lando was amazing in the wet today taking bizarre lines to make some great passes. I've seen him do the same in some of the junior series, a real talent. Would love to see him in f1.

I've predicted Max to win so I could do with both Ferraris and Mercs going out at turn 1.

tbh in this case he was probably right as there wasn't really anything to gain, the water wasn't going to disappear in 2mins so he was never going to get close to Grosjean's time, far more likely to stick it in a wall. As to can't be bothered, he's wiping the floor with Vandoorne. Don't know who he has to blame for his lack of a 3rd WDC, if he'd stayed at McLaren he wouldn't have won any more WDC's than he has now as,Massa probably would've won '08, and only 2 teams have won it since,RBR had gone in-house by then and I fdon't think Merc would've done anything different.

He should still put it in a different way rather than constantly come out with public criticism or sarcasm. It's bad PR for the team (and him) and is hardly helping them attract new sponsors which McLaren.

Then after quali he blamed the FIA for broadcasting his radio calls, like its a new thing............

He's almost becoming the new Mansell. When he wins its all him, when he loses its everyone else's fault.

For some reason Alonso is allowed to moan and attack his team, as its justified. He knew her what he has signed up for the last few years, if his £25m+ a year salary does not make up for it, then get the hell out of McLaren. For £25m a year I'd put on a happy face if I had to.

I'm sure they were initially looking to him to galvanize the team and make it better. All he has done is slagged it off from after about 18 months when it became clear the Mc-Honda partnership wasn't working. He has had other options, so no one has forced him to stay there. He's in it for the money now and simply doesn't care for the team anymore. He'll bank his pay cheque and then go off to the states when it suits him.

Mansell was a great driver and racer, much like Alonso has been, but he did like a good moan when things weren't going well!

Couldn't agree more . There was a magazine in the 80s all about f1 . Never forget a quote from a Lotus Mechanic when he said - I don't mind whinging driver , but one with a Brummie accent ...

Alonso is a meme and FOM love broadcasting his messages. It's just entertainment value really.

Though when mclaren ask daft things like will new inters help go faster in heavier rain then you get daft answers back.

If Mercedes can hold a 1-2 after lap one then they need to get the 2nd driver to back off to avoid the undercut. They'll unlikely to get a 1-2 but they could still get the win. If they try to win it on pace they'll finish 3rd at best. They're over half a second off the pace in race pace.
