He’s a poor defender, much like Walker but not quite as quick. He’s decent going forward, but still makes far more poor crosses than good ones. Doesn’t have to do much defending at Utd, nor did he for most of the World Cup and when he did, he was all over the place.
Like I said before, defending is of less importance for RWB as it is for a straight RB and JWP's crossing from wide positions could be a real asset. Young is poor in your opinion but obviously not in Mourinho or Southgate's.
I'm guessing Reed came on at RWB, Ward-Prowse in midfield (for Romeu?) and Redmond up front somewhere? Otherwise I don't understand at all.
Armstrong played a lovely pass into Bertrand for the goal. Feel like he could have a good season for us...
Felt the same myself. His final ball has been better than we're used to recently. Feeling fairly confident for the season.
