Don’t like the collar on any of the new shirts why have that gimpy little cut out bit , just keep it simple and have a circle neck, I would of liked them then.
What’s the point of a red 3rd kit? Other than red being a associated with luck China? When would we ever wear it in the seasons? Kit clash would be against teams wearing red most of the time.
Yeah, I mean a team would have to clash with both white and yellow to be of practical use. Any team play In white and yellow?
You’ve just asked and answered the question in one post. The sales in China alone make this a great commercial decision
I had originally assumed it would be launched at the same time as our china tour and we would play in it there but we missed that boat.
Sky are running a best kit survey....which is daft as the winner will be one of the cubs with the most fans. They'd get a better idea if they insisted everyone voted for 3 kits. Oh, back to my point (I did have one)….ours looks pretty good....partly because there are some seriously bad ones out there....completely dominated by their sponsor...meaning you have to look for their tiny, tiny badges to have any idea which club they belong to. Our stripes....now other stripeys are gone...makes us easy to spot. No more mistaking Stoke for the mighty Saints.
Isn't it a problem at the UnderArmour end....pretty sure we'd have liked the kits to be available at the same time.
If the purpose really is the Chinese market - it seems particularly poor business to release it a couple of weeks after we visited China rather than just before. Also can't see any times when we'd need to wear this one, so presuming it may be one we 'choose' to wear on occasion (maybe it can become our Cup shirt?)
Having lived in China for 2 years, I can safely say that no one gives a **** about the colour red, save for perhaps at a few traditional ceremonies here and there, where the tacky decorations might follow a red theme. From the cliche that everyone bangs on about, you'd expect every Chinese person to be decked out in red from head to toe all day every day. Just look at how many teams in the Chinese Super League wear red. Two maybe three, that's about it. It's basically like saying green is considered a lucky colour in Ireland. Sure, maybe it is, traditionally or whatever, but it wouldn't exactly make a load of Irish people run to their nearest sports shop if Saints suddenly had a green third kit. It's gonna need slightly better marketing to make us popular out there, but to be honest the popularity will only come if we either buy a Chinese player, or if we finish top six, etc.
