FFS... I was about to watch it when I posted the title of it. Watched admit half so far before falling asleep
I never could make it through it. Pure CGI pulp. And the only character with a likable personality was an AI character. I've never liked shows where the hero was a 100% unlikable twat. There has to be something mildly likable about him, even if it's just an endearing flaw.
Grrrrr .... annoyed. I just watched Isla Schlesinger elder millennial on Netflix. . She's pussied out. Ironically watched 3 Jim Jeffries after... they are the opposite end but same (before now) subversive thing. Both latest is annoying quantification asides..... pisses me off... it's really been a worrying thing in recent times... comedy thinks it has to be careful.... if two people who are known for taking the piss out of the horrible but in a constructive way rather than salacious have to constantly justify their jokes because it's on a platform we are fecked
I read Gillian Flynn's other two books, which are great, so was hoping it'll be on Freeview sometime. Speaking of books for TV, I read that Lee Child is moving Jack Reacher to TV, which means no more "diminutive" Tom Cruise. Something tells me box office returns had something to do with it. Child has promised a big guy for the role.
just finished watching episode 6 of Glow. This seasons actually pretty great, i think it's actually far better than season 1 and hits on a lot of themes for me but not in a lefty way. I'm on ep 7 which i believe should be put in the bin right @luvgonzo
I believe you are right there some tv has been awful but I just feel the scope of time over which the reache r books are written (though... not complicated) would lend itself to tv. not a weekly solve a crime stuff though... a game of thrones style one book could be 7 to 10 episodes... on SOME books
