Sorry, I just checked and it's possibly a little worse: The Football Arena Munich. It's no LawnBallsport Leipzig Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung, but still.
When will we have a sponsor do we think? You'd have thought they'd want it in place before the first game
A certain similarity between our stadium logo and others has been noted.........same font, same weird 'A' [North my arse]........same sponsor? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image If not, it's some bloody coincidence.
The pattern that's based on the marque is also reminiscent of the Nike swoosh, isn't it? Wouldn't take much of an edit.
We're gonna be hit by some bloody huge lawsuit for trademark infringement.........or it's Nike. Shame, I wanted Audi.........or better still, MV Agusta.....but it ain't red.
Based on SotM's pic, the stands on the left and the right are having the seats installed as we speak, with the upper tiers already finished (or near as dammit finished) while they're starting to fill out the lower tier, plus a few small patches on the stand at the back of the pic. It's worth remembering that not only are seats one of the last items to be installed, but they really aren't that much of a job as it literally takes five minutes to install a row - as this helpful video demonstrates
I found this bit of marketing blurb for Nike ST/\DIUM..... This week marks the launch of the new 'Nike Stadium at Firmament' space in Berlin, Germany. Nike Stadium spaces are new multi-purpose spaces that will serve as the destination for some of the newest and most innovative products from Nike. These new stadium spaces will be launched in a number of cities all over the world including Berlin, London, Milan, New York, Paris, and of course Tokyo. "Multi-purpose spaces.......the newest and most innovative" - this sounds exactly what Spurs are pushing in relation to the new stadium and it makes sense of that weird kit launch video which was almost totally to do with the stadium and hardly featured the kit at all. Nike had to be in on that and all of the 'Watch Us Rise' marketing makes a whole lot more sense if they are partnering with us in a much bigger way. I'm guessing that the stadium may well be called the 'Tottenham Hotspur ST/\DIUM' permanently and that explains why we'd have a logo for something that would only be used a few times a season - it isn't going to be. In my opinion, this is the name for some time to come. Even if it's a stop-gap, it's ****ing brilliant because it's marketing with the very lightest of touches and any other sponsor really wouldn't have to deal with it being known as another visible brand name. It gets around the UEFA naming issue and deals with Nike not having its name on any one stadium, which they've seemingly fought to avoid. Their STADIUM range is the sponsor and it ties in perfectly with what that range is all about. If we don't get called 'The Emeroids' or something like that, I'll be ****ing chuffed. 'Tottenham Hotspur ST/\DIUM'.........I like it.
