We're supposed to be playing Liverpool here in 8 weeks time... worrying.

Hello... is that Wembley? Yeah, how's your diary looking for Saturday, 15th September around lunchtime? <yikes>

Judging by the toys flying at a dangerous velocity from the rough vicinity of Harry Hotspur's pram, I'm going to assume today's baseless rant is saying that the stadium won't be ready in time.

Of course, if it does happen to be ready in time, I'm sure we'll be reading a retraction where he apologises for being a reactionary bore who doesn't have a ****ing clue...

Let's just look at what the misanthropic ****wit posted just yesterday (link included for the sole purpose of looking up the blog on a web archive in case the twat deletes it)

The test event at The New Destination™ is a mere 14 days away and in 56 days time Spurs are supposed to be hosting Liverpool Football Club.

A member of the Spurs List has just been up to have look around and the Soul Harvesting Device™ is miles off being ready in time for either event.

“I talked to workmen and they told me that it really was touch and go if the stadium will be ready for the Liverpool game. They said Daniel Levy is very, very angry.”

There are still 4,300 workers in 24hours a day to try to complete the work in time, but most believe the odds of being open in time are 50/50.

However the common opinion is that there ‘isn’t a prayer’ of completing the ticket office in time (or indeed anytime soon).

    Other glaring concerns include:

    • Club shop – nowhere near opening No ceiling. Bare cables hanging down. No shopfitting started
    • Veil cladding – still over half the ground to do. Still significant gaps in the stadium exterior to North West, South West and South East
    • Little sign of external work during my visit (2 guys on one cherry picker and a few concrete deliveries)
    • Glass roof still not complete and the joins in roof cassettes largely not finished
    • About 1/3 of the seats still to go in
    • All the franchised food/drink outlets to be kitted out and stocked
    • No sign of any real grass
    • No sign of any turnstiles
    • Ticket office way off completion
    • None of the 6 lifts installed yet
Furthermore, it would appear that Transport For London are reluctant to join the party.

No sign of improvements to WHL station or it’s accesses.

Little sign of improvement at Seven Sisters.

The queues will go back miles after games.

Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters will continue to be served only by ‘standard’ buses’

Not to mention this monstrosity is 100% over budget, eh?

So let's just tackle that one point at a time, shall we?

    "Soul Harvesting Device"

I believe the correct word is "stadium" because that's what it is - and I'm pretty sure the club can actually sue him for that comment.

"Miles off being ready for the big event"

The club begs to differ, saying it will be ready for the first test event on August 19th - and they have plenty to lose if it isn't, unlike a ****poster with a chip on his shoulder who regularly pollutes NewsNow's feed.

"The odds of being open on time are 50/50"
Again the club begs to differ, which is why they have announced three events at the new stadium.

"There 'isn't a prayer' of completing the ticket office on time"
If an entire stadium is going to be ready on time, I'm going to hazard a guess that a small consideration such as a ticket office will also be ready.

"The club shop has no ceiling, bare wires hanging down, no shopfitting started"
And here is what is going to happen next: once the wiring is fixed, the ceiling will be fitted, and once the club shop is tidied up the shopfitting will begin. It genuinely does not take that long to do this, certainly not the best part of a month.

    "Half the cladding isn't done"
In other words half of it already has been, and cladding takes a hell of a lot less time to fit than plate glass windows.

"Little sign of external work during my visit"
So because he popped down to the stadium one day for an unspecified amount of time, which could have been anything from two hours to two minutes, this is enough to boldly state that the workforce is slacking off and the stadium won't be ready. Let me make a small suggestion: could the workforce have been on their lunch break when you were there?

    "Glass roof still not complete"
Probably because this will be the last part of the stadium build to be done.

"Joins in roof cassettes not finished"
This is why the glass roof is not complete, dickhead. It would be pretty ****ing stupid to place a glass roof on the stadium if there weren't roof cassettes to support the sodding thing.

"1/3 of seats to go in"
In other words, 2/3 of the seats have been fitted, and as fitting seating is another job that genuinely doesn't take that long this is another non-issue.

"Franchise food and drink not kitted out and stocked"
Why should they be? Who is going to use them? The builders? Again this is one of those tasks that can be left to the end because it won't take long, and more than anything else what kind of colossal bell end thinks it's a genius idea to have food lying around in an eatery for an entire month before it's opened? That's how you end up with several thousand people suffering from food poisoning, you ****ing dolt.

"No sign of any real grass"
Probably because we haven't finished laying down everything that goes between the grass and the sliding tray it rests on. Funny how that works, isn't it?

    "No sign of any turnstiles"
Which of course has nothing to do with that being a bloody inconvenience to the 4300 workmen to-ing and fro-ing in and out of the new stadium all day long, many of them carrying tools or building materials, so having turnstiles installed would genuinely slow down their progress on building the stadium. And that's before pointing out, yet again, this is a task that takes no bloody time at all.

    "Ticket office way off completion"
Probably for the same reason the club shop isn't complete: it's secondary to the stadium itself, but as the stadium nears completion more people can be moved onto working on those buildings instead. ****ing hell this is getting tiresome to read now...

"None of the lifts installed yet"
Have the lift shafts been built and the cables installed? Because lifts tend to be installed after somebody's done that, not before...

"No signs of improvement of White Hart Lane station/Little sign of improvement at Seven Sisters"
Which is TfL's responsibility and not the club's, which anyone with a brain would be aware of. I'm going to guess this is where we're getting into the usual bollocks to try and pad out the blog in the hope it doesn't look like a teenager slamming their bedroom door, which never seems to work for some strange reason...

"The queues will go back miles after games"
And here's the problem: this is actually a legitimate concern, albeit one that needs to be aimed at TfL and not THFC, and he buries it deep among a load of ill-informed claptrap that anyone who has ever had their kitchen or bathroom redone...no, I'll go one further, anyone who has ever had their driveway done will know is so wide of the mark it's genuinely better if he didn't bother typing in the first bloody place.

"The monstrosity is 100% over budget"
    Alright, bollocks to being playful

    YOU. ARE. A. ****ING. MORON.

At no point was it ever stated the new stadium would cost £350m, the figure was always given as £800, for example there's this article posted by Construction News in April 2017 that clearly states the budget is £800m. The only people who claim otherwise are the Daily Mail and The Sun, both of whom promptly received a call from the club's lawyers that led to retractions being posted. Hopefully the ****weasel also receives a polite but firm word in the ear from the club's lawyers to tell him to stop repeating an oft-debunked lake of hogwash.

Is he a gooner in disguise? He often has a photo of Marty Feldman on his blog who looks like Ozil's identical twin.

    Ah right.

I'm genuinely tempted to send a link to that blog to the club to see what they make of some embittered ****wit spreading misinformation around. Mainly because I hope they utterly bury him in legal paperwork.

Careful, if Harry Hotspur sees this he might inconvenience an entire rush hour's worth of commuters by jumping in front of a train.

For no reason whatsoever, this song just popped into my head...

If he doesn't he should do, all this free publicity and giving Spurs fans globally an insight to what is happening around the club. Generally better than @SpursOfficial in most cases.

Sorry if I’m being a bit thick, but does this mean it will be called “The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium”?! if so, I’m delighted. Could have ended up with something far far worse!

UEFA won't allow sponsored names for stadia in their competitions, so even if a stadium sponsor come later and it becomes the 'Audi Arena' [or similar] for everything else, we will need and use the 'Tottenham Hotspur Stadium' name for CL nights. I doubt that name will be the only one but we shall see.......

It's probably sensible for branding purposes for non-football events, too.
NFL matches, gigs and the like will all have our name being put out there.

So what do Bayern call theirs on CL nights?

I sincerely hope if we do take on a sponsor we’re very careful with what we choose. The jokes will come thick and fast otherwise!
