Was probably the best warm up you ever saw, with Will Keane firing them past Marshall like Van Basten in his pomp.

Is true enough. Adkins is already covering himself saying we need at least another 4 or 5 players in. We don't have the quality of those lads available and won't have. Adkins best chance of getting a similar standard from a player we have already is by trying to get Grosicki a pay raise, flattering his ego and letting him do what the **** he likes every match to try and get the best out of him. We have no chance of getting any good quality players in now.

How is he covering himself? He's asking for more players, same as we are.
I doubt he will get them. I see no covering himself.

I realise every post you make appears to be sneering at the team and the manager but it gets boring.

The old trick of quoting urban and metropolitan as opposed to city populations. On metropolitann figures TWS should have had larger crowds than Newcastle for decades.
The metropolitan area of Newcastle includes Wearside where they are Mackems. There are probably as many people where City are the nearest club as there are where Newcastle are the nearest club.
Be interesting to get the figures for the amount of people heading to Newcastle compared to Hull for nights and weekends out. Surely far more end up in the more lively Hull with so much more to do.

The only reason stopping City having the biggest crowds in the country is that everywhere else is dead and there i cso much to do in Hull.

Massive. Would have been so many more if there hadn't been so much going on.

Can you still get a sly **** of those prossers down Waterhouse lane for £5?

I studied in Hull mate (born in Brid) and live in the North East now so can confirm categorically that Newcastle is a cleaner city with a lot more going for it.
Not wumming just giving my personal opinion.
All areas have run down areas (you have Brandsholme.. toon has byker) but Hull hasn’t had the investment Newcastle has.
Hull is full of lovely folk though (and some of my family) and most on this board are always decent with Toon lads.

By comparison.. Sunderland is a total ****ing ****hole which is full of six fingered bellends and it stinks of piss. Apparently the people of Ethiopia are holding a rock concert to help the poor ****ers who live in Sunderland.

So in summary... in terms of **** town top trumps... hull and Newcastle are comfortably outdone by that cesspit in between us called Sunderland.

    Peace.

Ys, we would have had at least 23,000. Presumably the reason they got more than us in the Championship and more in League 1 than we got in the Championship was there is nothing to do in Sheffield.
