IT contracting? Where i'm at

TBH it's not so much the work more i'm lazy and would rather just be on holiday 24/7,

watching **** tv, playing computer games/footie, travelling the world

 

Nah, I'm on the finance side, but have had 3 different contracts at different companies all doing different **** in various areas of finance. It is mental what companies will pay you if you can go on youtube and find out how to use excel.

I too am lazy as **** so try to find that 90/10 ratio of life to work. Usually involves me only taking short term contracts (6 months usually), but my current one doesn't interfere with my life so they keep wanting to extend me and I am happy enough to do so.

Set up my own exterior cleaning business and touch wood, really pleased so far.....so much more to do mind and constantly aware of the fierce competition to keep me on my toes because in this game, your only as good as your last job.

Wouldn't say i'm unhappy. Just reckon i could be far happier if certain things changed in my life .

Like everything, sometimes compromises need to happen

Generally speaking i'm quite happy just living in the moment but as you say if i had the choice i'd **** my job off on the spot

Wait you are only in your job for your mrs? **** that if she needs loads of money then tell her to go earn it. There are lots of things I would rather do with my time than this job, but the compromise is that I earn good money, which is most important for me. This job is the least ****y thing I can think of doing that gets me that money so I am happy to stay with it. There is no way I would work a job like this if it was ****tily paid or if I was happy being on less money. There is even less way I would stay in it if I wasn't spending the money on myself and someone else was taking it and doing as they pleased with it.
