Lee Bowyer has just said there are no imminent signings at present.

On one level I am pleased to hear that. Signing Ward or Dawkins or Ince would be a mistake in my view, and one badly compounded if fans are then asked to believe any of them are "better quality".
Fair play to LB, he has said he won't sign players for the sake of it.

But time is passing, the new season is almost upon us.
What is going on behind the scenes regarding looking at other potential signings?
Surely there are more players on our radar than the trialists we have seen in the pre-season friendlies so far?
