    Gents

We are 2 weeks away from another season. I am more than happy to keep this Prediction League going, unless you all feel a change is needed.

I am thinking about the bonus points for next season. I am looking at having a weekly game from another league (which could be Non League) and 5 points would be awarded for the correct score only. Other than that, business as usual.

    Thoughts?

Sounds good to me just happy for someone to carry it on as I don't have the computer skills but enjoy the taking part bit.

Nice one for volunteering again mate you did a top job. I was clueless about the championship but I somehow know even less than that about league one so it's going to be a long series of stabs in the dark.

If you're doing a bonus game I'd like it to be whichever prem fixture looks the juiciest, add a bit of glamour.

In the past we got 2 points for a correct result and an extra 1 for the exact score.
I think that getting the exact score is far more difficult than getting the result right, so can I suggest that we get 2 points extra instead of 1 for the correct score, therefore doubling the points for getting the result right :emoticon-0112-wonde

Also, the 5 points for the first scorer could be changed to the first scorer for us, so that interest for that part could be maintained for longer if it takes us a while to score (and play games with my nerves for longer) :emoticon-0100-smile

They're the only changes that I'd like, so that it's not too complicated 'cos this league's going to be difficult enough, Moll :emoticon-0105-wink:

. . . . or leave it as it is 'cos it's not broken

I like the old scoring way. Keeps early runaway leaders within touching distance. Other team forums on here have tried 4(2+2) points and a lot of interest was lost early into the season as it becomes boring as most of the league lose the chance of winning very quickly. Miss a few match days and it's over. There's always runaway leaders in this game. 4 point games are boring for anyone not directly competing with the leaders. excludes people quickly so loses players quickly. Up for anything that makes it more competitive but things that make it harder for the majority should be avoided imo.
