Even by the standards of the inflated Sky TV money transfer market, there have been a couple of ludicrous transfers in the last 24 hours Liverpool’s 4th choice keeper - a journeyman called Danny Ward - bought by Leicester for £12.5m. Even worse, the Brazilian kid Richarlison - didn’t pull up any trees for Watford last season at this level - now signing for Everton for £50m Harry Kane must be worth £200m in this current market. Richard Murray must be gutted - he would have loved to have paid £25m for Luke Varney & Izale McLeod.
The whole transfer system and amounts being paid, including agent fees and salaries is bonkers. It has got totally out of hand. It will be interesting if Sky ever pull the plug on Premiership football. It is massively overhyped anyway.
Absolutely sickening. Get rid of agents and put wage caps in place. The average Joe has to pay for this with ever increasing ticket prices, sky subscription prices and kit prices.
Ridiculous prices are now being paid for very average players. The money just goes straight thru the club to the player & agent. Richarlison is no better than Chris Iwelumo. It’s because he’s Brazilian
Premier league - £50,000 Championship - £10,000 League 1 - £5,000 League 2 - £2,000 I think that is a fair wage cap for respective leagues. Goal, Clean sheet & win bonuses should be a max 10% of weekly wage.
A Championship club with parachute money to burn signs little Tom Ince ....for £12m Is it me, or is Ince a serial underachiever at every club he goes to? David Wagner is no fool. Stoke will be bleating about FFP in two years when they go into administration.
To think that you sold Lookman for £7M last January, and he's being touted as 3 times that now after scoring the 1 Premiership goal.
