Morning all Well i for one am still confident about our season ahead, now looks to me as though mr Bielsa is going to build a side from what we have already. We have got rid of a lot of dross over the past few months and maybe what we got for them will be going into the next transfer kitty.Don't forget he is totally new to the english championship, and will not want to make the same mistakes as previous managers,(he will be all to aware of our past record where managers are concerned) he will look more closely at our weaknesses later in the season when he and the players have gained some experience playing a new system in the championship,by then problem areas he would have identified,so i would expect some serious movement in the next transfer window. So summing up he is confident of a reasonable start, and then push on later in the season. RIP Paul
The question for me now is where does it all end for Leeds United regarding these motley crew of owners we seem to attract. I am past the ''we need 3-4 quality players'' mantra now because that isn't happening. It's a new owner/s we need who will do the right thing by Leeds and the fans with the aim to reach the PL and then rightfully earn their rewards instead of these short-sighted money grabbing parasites that we always end up with.
Most of the dross is still here. On what basis apart from desperation and blind hope do you think there will be " some serious movement in the next transfer window", why would he be "confident of a reasonable start", and on what basis do you believe "we will push on later in the season". How many more times are you happy clappies going to sweep the current and real position into the long grass... Wake up ffs. How bad does it have to get before you see that Rad is killing our club in a way even Bates or Cellino never managed. He is the second worst owner we have ever had just above GFH!!
Same for me Eire First game v Grimsby in the 1963/64 season We won 3-0 or 3-1, Billy scored & instantly became a boyhood hero. Albert scored & I think Peacock got the other goal if my memory serves me right. I haven't looked back since, unfortunately our club has gone backwards since those glorious years. One consolation we have wonderful memories to last us until the day we die !
There is no need to wait. Ignoring the PR, as I said as soon as he was mooted as coming everyone should have followed the money. He has cleverly engineered it in accounting scams and tax fiddles but money/assets that were in the club are now in Rads pocket. Some would call it rape some embezzlement I would just say get out of our club and take Orta/ Kinnear and your yes men with you. He has not saved the club he has leveraged it and its going to end very badly. #dontbelievethehype
June 2017 I had my doubts about Radrizani October 2017 I questioned wether I was wrong. November 2017 decided I was right. Every thing that has happened since has confirmed my initial thoughts. &Idontbelieveallthehype
I just saw midway through the second have and he was defending just at the edge of the box he suddenly felt his right legand I feared the worst then you said he left with and ice bag on his leg he was in discomfort lets hope is nothing
For a start he is a quality manager, and would not be here if the only outlook was stagnation or relegation, this appointment took some getting over the line,he would have been presented with a business plan for the season ahead, eventually he agreed to it and we got his signature, rest assured good things come to those who wait & boy have we been waiting.
I was talking to a Newcastle fan here yesterday. He was bemoaning how crap an owner mike Ashley was. I explained what a real crap owner was as Leeds fans are experts at this point
He has failed more times than he has succeeded. doesn't know the league, doesn't speak the lingo, had a serious of demands (none of which apart from his salary have been met), he has a history of spitting the dummy if things don't go well, our squad is piss poor and no transfers have come in... so you are just wishing despite all logic screaming that we are going to be a laughing stock again. I refer you to my previous...
All Belgrano did was fill rads brief of being a PR splash to offload another 5000 season tickets on mug punters desperate to believe.... But on inspection the bloke beneath the veneer he has done nothing at club level and from what we have already seen he wont be improving his record with us... We normally get to mid September before the season is over this year we are being extra prompt...
sending players out on loan doesnt always free up wages we took Morison from you on loan and you paid his wages Depends where they go lower leagues or smaller clubs cant afford to pay them what you guys do might free up a bit but not all
Well another friendly tonight to look forward to. Not long for the season to start now. Life is good.
A quality manager that only has 19 games under his belt since June 2015? His club record Athletic Bilbao Games 113 Won 43 win percentage 38% Marseille Games 43 won 23 win percentage 53% Lille Games 19 Won 5 win percentage 23% Total Games 175 won 71 win percentage 40% Put it this way, Christansen had a 43% win percentage as Leeds manager and was sacked for it
Well for a start he has taken charge of international teams, such as Argentina, you would have something about you to get appointed for that position & Chile. How many other championship managers have that sort of experience ? great record at Marseille, not bad at billbao getting them to a domestic cup finale & a european finale, not bad for a relatively small club in the spanish league.the record at lille i admit was poor ,but had all sorts of problems with owners by all reports not delivering on promises.this is possibly one of the reasons his apointment took so long (out of the frying pan & all that) how many people had heard of Wagner or even Pochettino before he was appointed by southampton, plus he is highly regarded by Pochettino & Pep Guardiola do i need to go on.So by our recent standards that was quite a coup landing his signature.and at the moment i have every faith in him,but time will tell,& if he fails (which i don't think he will) no doubt certain people will have great delight in saying i told you so.
If we get promoted this season and then win the prem next season some will still moan that Rad was lucky and only done it on the cheap.
