Or how good david moyes was moyes built it on defensiveness and headers form tim cahill and felliani etc. I nfact to be quite honest about it if yuo look at that record and understand where kenrights finances were at its nothing short of a miracle in that era.

thanks nice of you to admit thats the only reason you got ahead of us but seriously... It is interesting to see the trends many city for example 2000–01 18th 2001–02 Div 1 1st 2002–03 9th 2003–04 16th 2004–05 8th 2005–06 15th 2006–07 14th Thailand pm buys them 2007–08 9th 2008–09 10th Arabs buy out 2009–10 5th 2010–11 3rd 2011–12 1st 2012–13 2nd 2013–14 1st 2014–15 2nd 2015–16 4th 2016–17 3rd 2017–18 1st Firmly mid table at best club propelled to the top. If this dind't happen everton would be 6th in table. Liverpool would be 3rd. Everytime this has happened someone loses out. In 2002-04 it was newcastle. they fell by the way side as arnsela, utd cheslea and us pushed them out of top 4. cheslea's billions also hurt arsenal In 09 city came in and we went downhill. Arsenal utd and cheslea largely held station. At this point now spurs have built their own success on their own hard work, cheslea's mega bucks period is over, arsenal are treading water it seems. Will wolves or someone create another disaster for someone (unlikely) In man ways everton's levels have been maintained over years of hard work while others have jumped the queue and pushed them down the table. At some point the league must be saturated with silly owners and this no longer becomes effective or desirable even for the arabs.
Like the club or not, you can't mock City since the Arabs took over. Away from the first team they have been a breath of fresh air for an area in decline. Wolves won't push anyone out.... I would expect the similar top 8 as per last season. Just positions 4-8 to flick about a bit.
so LFC for top 4 100%? thanks for the vote of confidence. i REALLY hope you beat both Chelsea and arsenal to 5th.
TBH... i'd be a bit surprised myself. they got 54 points. If you knock off 10 for competing in europa then that puts them 11th/12th. They have great team spirit and dyche is absolute god and anyone who doesn't align is gone... but it can only go so far.
Had we not spent a world record on a keeper, had we not even have got another keeper, anything less than 4th would be a massive failure for us. Such is our ambition
ooohh pressure. don't forget world record for a CB too. First full season. Hell if we concede a goal in the first 10 games its a failure by that logic.
short list for fifa world player 2018 Cristiano Ronaldo - Juventus & Portugal Kevin De Bruyne - Manchester City & Belgium Antoine Griezmann - Atletico Madrid & France Eden Hazard - Chelsea & Belgium Harry Kane - Tottenham & England Kylian Mbappe - Paris St-Germain & France Lionel Messi - Barcelona & Argentina Luka Modric - Real Madrid & Croatia Mohamed Salah - Liverpool & Egypt Raphael Varane - Real Madrid & France Kane is a joke. Mbappe is a stretch, prob world cup based Hazard is in only due to world cup Griezmann even is a stretch there and based on world cup can't quibble with varane after CL run and france nor modric. Bale not on there after winning CL on his own? (as a sub) shows they really pick it on world cup eh?
Who picks the nominees and ultimately the winner? Probably a group of corrupt suits that have never kicked a ball.
Not sure they even pick it on that. Pick the household names that the papers have been talking about and then give it to Ronaldo or Messi.
Everton have completed the Richarlison signing £35m rising to £50m https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44946473 Not that I don't think the lad is a decent player, but I'd not pay £35m for him nor agree to (what is likely to be achievable) add-on that bring it up to £50m Not sure its what Everton really need either, they lacked goals last season so needed an out and out goalscorer.
