The world cup is over and the European Championships are fast approaching. A lot of these players have come through and won trophies together for the youth teams. Southgate has obviously got their respect and has done a tremendous job in bringing all the players together and putting his stamp on the style of play. We need to keep this team together and see how they go over the next 4-6 years. I don't think they'll be many changes over the next couple of years, but if there's any I'll go with the left back and another midfielder in place of Lingard. Something like this: 3-5-1-1 -----------Pickford----------- --Walker Maguire Stones-- Trippier-Henderson-Sessegnon ---------Alli—Loftus-Cheek------ -------------Sterling------------- ---------------Kane---------------
Certainky Sterling can go. Seesgnon on the left looks like a great prospect, And I’d have Lingard in my team too.
Maybe Lingard can stay in the squad...impact sub at best...not starting material. and I can see Sessegnon putting an end to Young's International career
There will be players we don’t/barely even know now in the squad. Guys like Foden, Sancho and Lookman. If the top clubs could stop hoarding every teenager who can kick a ball, we might see some of that potential.
If Demarai Gray can get his **** together he will be some player ... big opportunity for him this season with Mahrez moving on ... needs to step up ... but electric when at his A game ...
Yeah I like Gray but he's not quite getting his **** together is he? I've been waiting for him to move his game onto another level for about 3 years now.
No consistency .... flashes of brilliance ... but he's still very young ...so now's the time ... scored a fine I individual goal against Notts County at the weekend ...
Serious lack of consistency...too much Bling too young can do that. I bought him for Spurs on FIFA....was a good squad player tbh.
Pickford Tarkowski, Maguire, Stones Tripps, Henderson, Grealish*, Sess Alli, Sancho Kane Butland, Walker, Dier, Winks, Foden, Sterling, Rashford as the main subs. *dependent on if he joins us, think he’d flourish under Poch, if he stays with Villa he’ll be stuck in obscurity.
Telling you, mate, if he joins us and grafts under Poch he’ll be in that England side come 2020. Bloke has so much talent but needs to be around better players, facilities and the right manager before he can reach his potential.
