The final game of "two halfs" has been played now.

so from now (barring injuries) we should start to see the team for West ham and the season starting to form up.

For me this will be interesting.

    Issues:

    1. Matip injury probably moves stuff around.
    2. salah and mane wont play midweek anyway. might come on in the weekend match.
    3. world cup semi finalists return august 5th.
    4. allsion returns after us tour
    5. shaqirir returns after us tour

    So:

team for rest of us tour?

    Karius
    Clyne Gomez VVD Robertson
    Keita Fabinho Milner
    Markovic??Sturridge ojo

    After tour: (say dublin game?)

    Alisson
    Clyne Gomez VVD robertson
    Kieta Fabinho Milner
    Salah Sturridge/firmino? Mane

    final preseason game:
    Alisson
    Clyne Gomez VVD robertson
    Kieta Fabinho Milner
    Salah firmino Mane

    West ham ???

for me lovren and henderson and TAA prob wont be ready for west ham. Can see all 3 start on bench.

Lallana imo still isn't fit. I think he will need even more time to be right.

We don't know extent of matip injury. he could be right in a week for all i know.

    Well best team is:

    ----------------Alisson
    TAA-----Lovren-----Van Dijk-----Robertson
    ----------------Fabinho
    -------Henderson----Keita
    Salah--------Firmino--------Mane

With a bench of: Karius, Matip, Gomez, Milner, Lallana, Shaqiri, Sturridge

TAA, Lovren and Henderson won't be there. We still need a CB, AM and ST imo.

Watched the final 30 minutes last night, glad that's not our defence going into the season. So impressed with Keita, he's a player that the ball likes and you get the feeling he could run and run all day. Even more power up front, with a new goalkeeper, get the defence working better in front of him and we're in for some lovely looking football {results} :D

First half boring. Karius looks worse in person. He really can't even kick a ball. My daughter's first Liverpool game, I think she got bored and switched off unfortunately. She kept telling me how minutes until the first half ended.

Second half was good though. Enjoyed the second half despite losing (don't think we deserved to lose actually). Got much better with more of the pros on. Bank of America stadium has really gone down hill. Used to be a good place to watch a game... Is a crappy stadium now. Hopefully next time they play in Atlanta or somewhere else within driving distance but not Charlotte.

Liverpool were the home team again here. Red shirts outnumbered yellow 7 to 1.

I think I was stuck in the dull people section... I think I was the only one making any sound. I didn't hear the Cheerio to Karius song. There was a loud woman behind me who must have said "I hate Karius" 100 times during the game. I think I embarrassed the kids belting out YNWA because I was the only one singing anywhere near us.

Last time the fans in my section were better but nothing like being in England.

The Liverpool supporters section behind the goal were making a lot of noise though. Stadium would have been totally quiet without them. There wasn't any large block of Dortmund fans in the stadium (just a few scattered around) so I imagine it must have been Liverpool fans.

    Nice.

I know what you mean about karius. Wasn't taking it too serious as per.

First half was easy but theres no forward punch there.

Second half was better but no finish in the team.

its a pity the game came a week too soon if anything. shame you didn't get to see the real team. Probably next weekend will be a far bloody better game :(

Yeah, my son's first game several years ago was so much better. I wish my daughter's first wasnt so dull. Second half was better though.

Atmosphere was better then... And had 20k more people there. 55.5k is a decent turnout but it's a huge stadium and had lots of empty seats.

I think this every year stuff but with half teams and half pace is killing the goose over there.

If prem clubs want to do it they must take it more serious.

The only home tie this year is last game of preseason and for all i know it could be mince.

Trying to go with my kid

Is it just my imagination or has Jose Mourinho aged 10 years over the last year at United. He is suddenly looking a lot older.

Thought it was Shahid Khan the Fulham & Jacksonville Jaguars owner who was buying Wembley.
