I think Sky have got that wrong, he's definitely out of contract at the end of the season as far as I know.

SKY have definitely got it wrong, shouldn't it say 'Folan eyes NBA switch'? Sure he'd be better off in the NBA, he can stand around close to the net, waving his arms around like a panzy and never have to worry about being offside!!

I don't see why he gets all the grief he gets, he's a big hard guy tough as nails and an amazing footballer. He's the most masculine bloke I've ever seen play footy, never backs out of challenges and runs like a true man.

He should go to Seattle Sounders. Lots of nice scenery round there and a big artistic community. So if the football doesn't come off, he can always concentrate on his painting.

Good point, but Sounders have a ton of big forwards and I'm not sure that'd be the best fit for him. He might be best in New England - who doesn't have any decent players up front - or in Toronto, who has nobody at all up front. He could do really well over here, which is probably closer to the bottom third of the Championship/top half of League One than where he is now.

I hope this was okay for a first post, btw. :)

He looks like he would make a great basketball player, but as I've never seen him get more than two inches off the ground, I doubt he'd cut it.

    "They are impressed with him"

He can't of kicked ball over there then. He's an imposing figure to look at but has no heart, no stregth, no skill and very little passion!

    HOWEVER...

Cheers for the tap in v Fulham (16/8/08 - good memories) and a few goals in the run in to the play-offs.

In America they do tend to be impressed with anyone - there's a fair few league 1 level players in the MLS
