He could wait for the window to shut, legally take every penny from the bank to pay off the “loan”, then sell a debt free/cash free club with Rafa in charge ahead of the Jan window for around £250m.
There is just no sense in this deal what so ever, replacing a young and upcoming striker who has been tipped for years to "get" good, 9 in your first season in the EPL and 17 in half a season in the Championship are great returns for a 21-22 year old - better than Joselu, Gayle or Rondon for that matter. I would honestly rather sign no one that ****ing Rondon... just go get a 10 and push Ayoze up top - at least he can hit double figures. Or loan a young, up and coming striker from one of the big clubs in Europe, just not ****ing "Salomon less use than a broken condom Rondon" This kind of BS transfer is the exact reason I personally wouldn't give Rafa a penny until he signs a contract as he'll just get another Manquillo/Gamez/Lazaar/Joselu/Gayle through the door. I'd applaud Ashley if he said "**** off Rafa you aren't selling Mitro as the next manager might want him if you won't sign your contract" and just loaned him out for another season.

What I don't get... is why if there is a promise of £100mil if Rafa signs a new contract.. would it not be part of the contractual terms? There is no £100mil.
A commitment to transfer spend would never be part of contract terms. It comes down to trust which will be based on how Mike has lived up to promises made to him previously. This isn’t going to end well!

Exactly and what happens to funds generated? If, and I can't believe i'm saying this, we sell our 3 best prospects in Mbemba, Mitro and Merino this summer that'll be roughly £35m sold, does that get added on top of the paltry £100m over 3 years? If so then maybe its a good deal as we have some potentially valuable assests in players like Ritchie, Gayle, Perez, Lacselles, Lejeune etc but it all raised more questions than answers. What about the academy and training facilities? If there is £100m there to spend why not spend it instead of wasting 4/5's of the transfer window fannying about? By the time Rafa signs a contract and the legals are done there will be 10-14 days to spend what money is available. Who has the final say on the money being spent? Rafa will want it in his contract and will Ashley (and Barnes) sign off on that? The other way I'm looking at this is £100m over three years, now lets just pretend we finished 17th every year - that is £100m income in prize/tv money alone guaranteed every year (£300m over the length of the contract), will that enable Ashley to pay off his loan to him self, say £50m a year and then we can go and spend big in the future or Ashley ****s off having offered the club to market at a reasonable price? It all sounds like another one of Ashley's offers whereby he knows A) it wont be accepted or B) once the deal is agreed there will be no time to finalise it.
