Saints have always done the unexpected since I have been following them............They are the one team in the league that often do that which was not expected. Saints will never be a team of champions, sadly the board do not have the where with all to achieve that. Its not that we're not capable of better things but the mind set here is more about staying in the top league. Not about winning it!!
At best we are a top ten side. Thats not to say we couldn't do a Leicester, but in the main Saints fans have to be realistic. To support Saints and will them to do the unexpected.................COYS.....lets be 'avin ya.

 

It was truly shocking!

However there is no empirical evidence, but as I recall everytime we have a good pre-season we have a poor season. So I am actually quite pleased we got stuffed yesterday

Certainly, I wans't trying to imply 90's Utd were the lesser for being bereft of 'a 20 goal a season striker'. They ended up with 7 (I think) titles in the 90's, while Newcastle ended up with merely 4 of the folk heroes - which we're always told 'their fans love up there' - and a classic clip of Keegan in melt down .

Because he is a damn good CB and better than any of our current CBs and going to Burnley who are a very small club that has got a smaller wage structure than ours is daft

 

A lot of reports that Stoke have offered £7m for Sam Gallagher..... time to sell?

 

They've qualified for Europe though so are probably more attractive to players. We've also already spent the best part of £20m on a CB.

Wouldn't class them as a 'very small club' personally, not much in it between us imo.

 

I'd be tempted at that price... would aim for ten though.
