Richarlison looked great when initially came but seemed like the intensity of the perm caught up with him. Always a risk with South Americans coming straight to England and not having that adjustment period in Europe first. He obviousy has talent lent but buying a forward for 50m you’re expecting 20 goals a season from him really
Not really. He was a winger. Firmino still isn't a 20 goal premier league striker but everyone knows that's not what use him for (and he was bought in at that sort of price back then). As long as he comes in and can replicate the level mane then he will have been successful
If he can replicate his 5 goals in 38 games? Last season bar about first 10-15 games his form was pants
was part of it watford having a bad time? young players can be affected by that kind of thing and a manager change?
But that 10-15 games shows he's got the ability to do it. He's young and needs to be coached, consistency will come with experience. Is £50m a lot? It seems so at the minute but should he be a success then it'll be a bargain. Besides, it could end up looking cheap yet once the usual big spenders start to splash the cash
Or he hit a purple patch. I remember a guy named Federico macheda scoring 4/5 games in his first 10 or so games for United and then did nothing. 50m for someone’s that had 10 good games in a league is a huge risk. You’re right if he hits potential but that’s also some big pressure to put on his shoulders to try live up to that price, who knows if he has the mentality. So far, he hasn’t shown that he has the ability to be top class which is what 50m should get you
Macheda was a poor man's Harry Kane; did ****all bar be in the right place at the right time. £50m in the modern market isn't top class, it's the second tier signings It is high risk though
The wise make signings that confound those rates..... like salah. The only question is whether you guys are right or silva is right about the guy. The fee is irrelevant if Silva is right.
Where as so far Richarlson is a poor mans Wallcott. Quick and scores a couple of goals a season. 50m gets you top quality. 50m for Keita, Fabinho. 60m for Mahrez, Jorginho, Fred. All players that are proven quality over number of seasons And are international players.
well put it this way, Richarlison has flakey finishing but shown he has the technical ability in terms of controlling the ball and dribbling with it, something wally didn't really do. As for his output: 5 goals, 8 assists in 2800 mins. Compared to Ox who was 3 goals, 7 assists in 1700 minutes in a far more gung ho side compared to watford. You paid 35m for him and most of you fans think you have a bargain. This isn't even considering he only had 1 year left on his contract. With respect to Keita and Fabinho and Jorgino, when you say they have done it over a number of seasons i'm pretty sure all of them have only done it over 2 seasons (i might be wrong) Anyway, we'll see how richarlison does as i don't think we will agree here.
Alisson transfer: How Liverpool rejected chance to sign new No.1 for just £4million in 2015 EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool were offered the chance to sign the Brazil No.1 in July 2015 - but passed https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/foot...sson-transfer-how-liverpool-rejected-12959858
Don’t think anyone said he was a bargain? Think he was overpriced considering his contract but he’s played a lot better for us so is going some way to live up to his price tag. Difference is ox is a midfielder where as Richarlison is a forward so comparing goal stats is hardly accurate.
I think you are right. ox was never a bargain but he was who klopp wanted. so... in the end this is all just opinion. I sense some raided eyebrows from lfc fans on the watford lad and fee. imo these days it's almost impossible to say if a fee is worth it til the player delivers or not. ox ok.. 12 months left it felt too much but he contributed to us getting to do final. this kid could be massively over priced or be a success. so... fee.. meh.. when looked at as a player will he improve Everton or will he flop. I don't know.
Liverpool will reportedly send officials to Turkey to negotiate a deal for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida. The Croatian centre-back earned plenty of admirers with a series of bullish performances on route to the World Cup final in Russia. His defensive vigour and stern leadership has seemingly attracted interest from both West Ham and Everton, with the former having allegedly lodged a bid. Turkish newspaper Milliyet claim Liverpool will fly out representatives to hold talks over a £27million deal for Vida. The 29-year-old has been regularly linked with the Reds over the past couple of months, although it has been made clear by Merseyside-based sources that the club has zero interest in signing him. https://www.empireofthekop.com/2018...to-fly-out-for-talks-over-27m-signing-report/
