    Although it should be said, Stoke have had even worse resources in the striking department than us.

    Pep, Poch or Klopp couldn't get a free-scoring side out of Crouch and Berahino.

    Sometimes. But the nice football didn't end with them scoring goals, because they weren't blessed with an overabundance of players who could score goals. Their most prolific goalscorers over the past three seasons are...Mame Biram Diouf, followed by Peter Crouch. Setup helps, but you can't score goals from the technical area.

    Oh, it's not wrist-slashing stuff. More that we're probably a lower midtable side as it stands that'll probably muddle through. It'd just be nice if we aimed to be something more than that.

    Indeed.

    It's why I say that I'm currently concerned about being in a relegation battle, because in recent years "lower midtable" has been in a relegation battle. But I'm certainly not sitting here saying we're doomed, and bottom three here we come.

    But, then again, there's still almost three weeks to go yet. We might yet sign the two players who could change everything for us, and see us fighting for 7th once again.

    Just imagine this, Chaz stays fit for the whole season and Gabbi rediscovers the form that he was in when he first joined us, Nathan gets back to what he was like when he got picked for England, Mo El and Stu hit the ground running and we start scoring from long shots. Josh proves to be a more than able substitute for Boufal and Shane starts getting lucky in front of goal and starts banging them in like he did under Koeman, Hesketh breaks through and lives up to his potential and Big Sam proves to be useful too...

    Maybe I have sunstroke or something but....:emoticon-0159-musicone year of hurt never stopped me dreaming....:emoticon-0159-music
