The Lib-Dems didn't realise that Labour were going to kick off, so they didn't turn up.
As I've seen posted elsewhere, it's rather hypocritical of them not to bother voting, just because it might not have any impact...

The Tory filthbag in question didn't vote on the unimportant stuff, then suddenly decided to **** pairing and jumped in.
    He forgot. Honest.

    Anyone into Gilbert & Sullivan?
Should this be on the Music thread?
    I think it's brilliant, anyway!

This tweet has aged well, hasn't it?

  6. His big ‘Resignation’ speech hasn’t exactly gone down as well as he’d hoped - except with Jacob Rees-Maggot.

  7. 'Ignorance is bliss' is an often used phrased and yesterday was right up there with examples.....

Watched the Newsnight article on the Free Tommy Robinson rally and interviews with the numpties and the ****e from the leader of UKIP....

Listened to the interviews with Republican heartland Trumpists STILL supporting him, even in the face of his latest treasonous outpourings.....

But for me, this summed up the state of things - a quote from a girl who allegedly received a minor shark bite off the coast of Fire Island, New York

    Screenshot_20180719-084938.png

So, she managed to work out it wasn't a feckin' TIGER cos it had a fin, she was waist deep in the North Atlantic and (supposedly) not in an Asian jungle! I guess she might be confused having watched the Life of Pi <doh>

Heaven knows what the 'something' could have been......... A kangaroo or giraffe? Ye God's!! <laugh>

This comment from a 1995 issue of Private Eye, on the other hand, has aged remarkably well...

This is a shame. When I lived in Islington in the eighties, there was a red flag flying over the Town Hall, and Ms Hodge was the dynamic leftie Leader on the local council. I wore a lapel badge with a red flag on it and the inscription "The People's Republic of Islington". The same was true in Sheffield, where David Blunkett was the Leader, I believe. I suppose 30 years is a very long time in politics.

What is the view of Trump state side. Is there any sense of him losing support or do those that support him lap up the circus that seems to follow him around?

No. Quite the contrary. He gets paid by the government for having their employees stay at his various establishments.
It's one of the many, many ways in which he's scamming America.

It's been reported that, even though he resigned as Foreign Secretary two weeks ago because something something foreign HGV drivers, Boris Johnson has refused to vacate the Foreign Secretary's mansion in Carlton Gardens - or to put it another way, the British taxpayer is now having to subsidise Boris Johnson acting like a ****ing child as he says "It's MY £20m mansion, you can't have it" while blowing raspberries at anyone who says he should **** off out of the building.

Just a thought: maybe charge him rent to stay there, perhaps something like £350m a week...
