Some sad news out of Wales today though with Sam Warburton retiring at the ripe old age of 29 Hopefully, he'll still be involved with Wales for decades to come and I can see him doing some commentating too. Bye, Sam and thank you
Hamilton gets a nice little earner . This would not include his personal deals . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/44884683
An utterly astonishing stage 12 in the Tour ends with Gereint Thomas consolidating his maillot jaune with his second win in 2 days, this time on top of the Alpe d’Huez. The question of who actually leads Team Sky becomes even more puzzling, with Thomas distancing Chris Froome in the final uphill sprint. There will be words, just wait and see!
Great to see some young fresh US talent emerging in the sprint events after all the years of doping stories surrounding their senior sprinters. Last night n Monaco Noah Lyles posted 19.65 for the 200m which is seriously fast. New world record in the women´s steeplechase, and a quick time in the 1500m for men with a Kenyan winning in 3.28 and two British runners running 3.32 and 3.33 times. I think it proves my point that a 1500m final race for men in the Olympic and World Championships should be declared void if the winning time is outside 3.35, as these athletes have all proved capable of running inside 3.35.
Leclerc fastest in FP3. I mean, okay, it was raining so not many did representative laps, but still...
There were a few spits and spots at 5.00 this morning. I needed to use my wipers on intermittent to cope with it.
