Barnier said today that there were parts of May's paper that he didn't understand. <yikes>
He also said the deal must benefit the EU and that all 27 members are not disadvatage. <doh><laugh> A bit late to worry about them now mate!

I didn’t see what he said, sounds like a bit of ****wittery to me, Ireland stands to suffer most in all this if he’s not careful.

Time for the EU to take a step back and recognise that our government is in a right mess, it needs help not threats.

Barnier said basically that today, although they won't care about us as they will just take advantage. It wasn't long ago they were saying use Paris or Frankfurt for financial services?
For me we need to get rid of May and bring in a fresh face with a plan.

The Irish Teapot is a hell of a drama queen. Next week, he declares war on the UK on behalf of the 27 (without consulting them first)

    Exactly right mate.
The bloke is a complete tool.
We even have an agreement for the RAF to protect Irish planes.
He really is a very silly bloke..

Slightly off topic but I remember you saying a short while ago that your kids didn't like Trump because he shoots elephants and wondering where they got that idea from.

I did read yesterday that Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr does travel to Africa to go hunting so that might explain it. Well sort of.

    As you were folks...

Looks like the Chequers Agreement is dead in the water. If May gives the ground insisted upon by Barnier, she'll shed Brexit ministers. Raab will only stay the course if he has power to organise the move to WTO

Last time I checked yesterday, it was about 58% Remain, 28% No. Deal, and 14% Chequers.

Hope he likes going on holiday to Lanzarotte because he's going to have trouble flying anywhere else.

Yes, it was 60% Remain. I reckon that's what it will be when the real referendum happens. <whistle>

So the last referendum wasn't the real one because you didn't like the result I presume?

  19. For the last two years the UK has been caricatured as being divided, loose canons making idiotic soundbites and generally badly organised. The EU has widely been lauded as being well prepared and completely unified.

I think Mr Varadkar might be going a tad off message don't you?!

It was a rehearsal, Col. People know more about it now. :emoticon-0105-wink:

They certainly wouldn't vote for No Deal (and didn't last time).
