If the rugby clubs didn't exist, we would have had a lot of points deducted/ games played behind closed doors due to bad behaviour from fans who currently attend RL games.

And our away following would not increase at all.

The only ones keeping it going are the ones who don't like either Rugby league or Hull FC. They seem just a little obsessed by it. Sad really.

The mods could have stopped the culprits a long time ago.

 

Some of the rugby lot hate City . I get it from people I know who support FC or Rovers , support a top 6 PL team and say they hate City .

Start One for every team in a 30 mile radius of the KCom.

Why do they need another one?

Is the tasteful and well-situated one outside the KCOM not good enough?

 

I would suggest his deeds are more deserving of a full sized statue than many of the ones that we see.

 

Does he (or anyone else) deserve two commemorative statues ?

 

He won't have two statues. He will have one and a bust. I would hsve thought, as someone from Hull, you would support commemoratinv one of the few people the city has produced who genuinrly deserves the epithet hero.

 

There is a fine commemoration to him outside the KCOM. It usually has a poppy wreath (or two) on it, and is clearly a prominent and appropriate site for the tribute.

I'm not sure why the people behind this new commemoration want to move/duplicate a tasteful and discreetly stylish memorial.

Harrison was a hero- and is already well commemorated.

 

They don't want to move or duplicate it. They want to erect a full size statue elsewhere.

 

So is the issue the size of the memorial or the location of the memorial?

Do you think it is appropriate to have two commemorations of the same person a few hundred yards apart (regardless of size, materials used and prominence) ?

 

I don't have a problem with it.
