Do people still believe that? It was a rumour in the Sun that was obviously total BS. Keegan has already said his main targets that summer were Modric and Sami Hypia, both of which we were on the verge of signing until the board overruled him and decided Nacho Gonzales and Xisco were the players we needed instead.
I do believe it. Keegan was a liar, a dreamer, and to be honest a quitter when he didn't get his own way.
He was certainly a quitter. As far as the liar comment... You carry on believing what you read in The Sun. Think I'll lean more towards the court case which found Mike to be the equivalent of a compulsive liar.
I can't remember. However Keegan was a ****. He jumped ship whenever he didn't get his own way. SJH reckoned he threatened to leave loads of times. it was every time they tried to curb his wild spending.
Here's the Schweinstiger story btw, one of Ashleys stoodges, Tony Jimenez stitched Keegan up with a story that we could replace Milner with Schweinstiger, to fool him into selling Milner: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....ible-story-newcastle-trying-sign-12813690.amp
Really? Sounds pretty convincing to me. Ashley’s only your adoptive father, you don’t have to believe everything he tells you.
Yeah Keegan that ****, only Bobby Robson has done the club more damage in recent times. What a pair of ****s.
Disgraceful thing to say about Sir Bobby. Now there was a genuine man, who represented the club well and didn't hoy his toys out the pram when he didn't get his own way. He didn't screw the club for money or tell a boat load of porkies.
Keegan took us from nearly getting relegated to the 3rd tier to very nearly winning the Premiership. Robson took us from nearly getting relegated to the 2nd tier to the champions league. So your measure for being a **** appears to be how much of a success they were - therefore Keegan is a massive ****, and Robson is almost as much of a ****.
No both achieved well. That does not dictate if their a ****. Bobby fought to get the best for the club but did it in the right way. He was honest. Keegan was a liar and a manipulative ****. He kept threatening to leave every time they tried to curb his spending, which lets face it was sending us spiralling into uncontrolled debt that could have taken us out of existence before Ashley stepped in. He then did leave when the going got tough after he bottled the 12 point lead. He then came back and proceeded to piss and moan his way through, before taking the club to court to get some more money out of it. He then lies about the circumstances every chance he gets. Then you have Bobby.
