**** Bayern Watch Kicker are reporting that Bayern have a verbal agreement to sign Benjamin Pavard next summer, when his release clause drops to €35m.
For many of our fans it would seem they enjoy playing computer games based on football and think Spurs should behave in a similar fashion. In the real world we have a top manager who I am confident will only want the right players. Don't forget what happened with the 7 signings. from the Bale money. I am confident that if Pochettino identifies a player he wants Levy will do his best to secure him. Meantime our squad is still developing and if we keep them together will be better this season than last. You never know Kane might actually score a goal in August.
Right, so that’s Spurf’s approval sorted. Just waiting for PNP and NKNG to give their thumbs up (once I’m correct) and the DH-Meister moves up in the world. “Dier Hard: Spurs Super Mod” - has a great ring too it.
Haha, Mirror reporting that we don't wanna pay the £60m asking price for Zaha, so we're trying to do a player plus cash deal, that player being Sissoko. If we pull that off (even though I'm not a massive fan of Zaha), that's a Levy masterpiece.
A Palace supporting mate tells me that someone from Everton contacted Palace to put in an offer for Zaha. He said that the club were thinking of an initial payment in the region of £35m plus add-ons. Following a period of hysterical laughter, it was pointed out to the caller that Everton paid £50m for Gylfi last summer. Good point, if you get a reputation for being a soft touch, people will continually try to exploit it. Despite my concerns, this could well happen. I would presume that Zaha's responding to contact from a prospective purchaser and Everton just aren't in the running and I'm struggling to see him in Germany. Previously, we've expressed an interest in him and Pulisic and Martial look unlikely. Maybe it's Chelsea. I could see him there very easily as a Hazard replacement. If it's us, he improved significantly last season but I'm still not sure. However, he does fall over in the penalty area in a stiff breeze, so the Mousers will ****ing hate him..........Okay, I'm sold....let's have him.
He ain't consistent enough for me. Only really turned up for Palace's last handful of games. Credit to him in that he took on the mantle to steer them out of relegation but nonetheless I just don't think he's worth splashing £50m-£60m on. Of the AMs we already have, there's none I think he's better than and even though I appreciate it's highly unlikely we'll buy better than Son/ Alli/ Eriksen, I'd at least want someone on a par/ better than Lucas and Lamela, which I don't think he is. It wouldn't surprise me though if we did sign him, we've been linked for about 2 years give or take so it seems Poch and co are fans. Even though we ain't been linked with him, would love us to go for Perisic. Remember watching him at Dortmund & Wolfsburg and thought he looked class, don't really watch Serie A so not seen how he's done at Inter but during the World Cup he reminded me of just how much I rated him. ****ing wand of a left foot.
Haven't we? https://www.teamtalk.com/news/totte...nal-90million-swap-deal-for-midfield-maestros Reports from Italy are claiming that Tottenham and Inter Milan are considering a potential swap deal involving Mousa Dembele and Ivan Perisic.
Teamtalk value Dembele at £45million? haha he's 29 and only has a year left on his contract. Plus he doesn't score or assist. £45million is ridiculous.
Is this quietest summer window in terms of general speculation about us buying or selling ever? We are normally linked to a different player in the press everyday and half the squad are meant to be wanting to move on. I think that we are keeping our cards close to our chest and the media are actually finding it very difficult to get anything out of anyone at the club, which has to be a good thing. I also think that the squad needs very little tinkering, Moura will be like a new player and whilst I would like to see a couple more arrive - another CB and a fast forward would be useful, but top of my list, would be an old head, 'a winner' someone whose experience can help us win those big matches where we have fallen short in the past.
Totally agree with you we need a winner who has seen it and done it before to get us over the line.A lot depends on Toby staying or going as to how many players we need.On the striker front with our record of late in buying duds I'd rather we buy a midfielder who can score goals and leave harry to do what he does best .sonny was very good for us last season when harry was out .coco back fit and getting a pre season in is a bonus moura as you say is like a new signing and I am looking forward to see him get more game time this season .we don't really need much tinkering just a modric or a bale will do nicely.
