    I have a bat signed by both Malcolm Marshall and Viv Richards. Along with my Rickie Lambert signed shirts and personally signed George Michael photo they are my favourite possessions. Would love a Muhammad Ali signed anything, but that may be too much to ask now.

    I spent a lot of my adolescence up at the County Ground,Richards and Gordon G as openers OMG! Dear Bob Stephenson and John Rice were two of my coaches. Great days

    I went to Uni at Southampton (so I could watch Saints) with Rohan Kallicharan, the son of the Windies captain, Alvin. Viv Richards is his godfather, something which I am still jealous of to this day! Ro’s a lovely guy, despite being a Liverpool fan, and a good friend still now.

    Hasn’t introduced me to Viv though. Tosser.

    Josh Sims should be banging on the door this season. He's performed very well when needed and using him more reduces the need to gamble millions on the Boufal type's.

    Unless we are going to sign a player markedly better than those we have, we should give players already here a real chance. They could improve with a real run in the team and their familiarity with other players has to be an advantage. And it saves money. Obviously no problem if a far better player is brought in, but bringing in someone only marginally better makes little sense and must be disheartening for those trying to break into the team.

    Agreed, I would actually be perfectly happy with one marquee/expensive goal scorer coming in and give the likes of Sims, Hesketh, Slattery and the like a chance
